Forest penalised with points deduction 

Nottingham Forest have been penalised with a deduction of four points for violating the Premier League's profit and sustainability regulations. 

An independent commission discovered that the club's losses for the period until 2022-23 exceeded the £61m threshold by £34.5m. As a result, Forest have dropped into the Premier League's relegation zone, falling below Luton Town.

West Ham United 3 - 1 Chelsea

It was a memorable afternoon at the London Stadium for West Ham fans. Even though the home side played nearly 30 minutes with 10 men, they completed a rousing London derby against Chelsea.

In the 67th minute, Nayef Aguerd, who opened the scoring with a header, was sent off for his second bookable offence. However, Chelsea couldn't force an equaliser and conceded a late third through Lucas Paqueta's penalty in the fifth minute of added time. Premier League: Ten-man West Ham stun Chelsea

Manchester United's first away match in the new Premier League season led to their first defeat

It was a better start for United than last season, but this was unconvincing on their first match of the season.

Two of the teams who will be fighting to qualify for next season's Champions League played at an entertaining draw at Stamford Bridge.

Harry Kane leaves Spurs for Bayern Munich.

There has been a huge transfer announcement. Harry Kane, the England captain, has completed a move to Bayern Munich, the German champions, agreeing to a four year contract.

 This transfer marks the conclusion of a record-setting spell with Tottenham Hotspur. It has been completed for an initial sum of around 100 million euros (£86.4 million), and there are additional provisions for performance-related bonuses.

Burnley 0 - 3 Manchester City

It wasn't a great return to the Premier League for Burnley. Erling Haaland returned to his usual form with an impressive demonstration of his scoring abilities as Manchester City began their defence of the Premier League title by securing a comfortable win against Burnley.
