Manchester United and Real Madrid are reportedly among the clubs maintaining a watching brief on Dani Olmo this summer. The Spanish international is excelling for Red Bull Leipzig, and he has a clause that becomes active this summer when he can leave for £52million. Olmo recently starred for Spain against Brazil, where he was utilised in the number ten position where he scored a superb individual goal. There's been a another big money move to the Premier League Manchester City have completed the signing of centre-back Josko Gvardiol on a five-year deal from RB Leipzig for around £77m. He is the second most expensive defender in history after Harry Maguire, who joined Manchester United for £80m from Leicester City in 2019. In two seasons at Leipzig, Gvardiol has impressed after joining from Dynamo Zagreb in July 2021. You just know that we're in for a busy few days in the transfer market. It has been announced that RB Leipzig have re-signed Chelsea forward Timo Werner on a permanent deal, two years after he left the club for the Premier League. Chelsea met the Germany international's £45m release clause in 2020 but will make a loss, with Werner returning in a deal thought to be about £25m. He has signed a four-year deal to 2026 with his former club. Werner scored 23 goals in 89 games in all competitions for Chelsea, winning the Champions League in 2021.
