Despite not as much money being spent, it was still a busy transfer deadline day across Europe. Premier League transfers It was certainly fairly quiet in the Premier League. Despite appearing to need new signings, Manchester United didn't bring a single player in. Most of the money was spent by teams near the other end of the table. Transfer News: Manchester United sign Mason Mount

Manchester United have announced the signing of Mason Mount from Chelsea. The 24-year-old midfielder is Ten Hag's first signing of the summer in a transfer deal worth an initial £55m, plus a possible £5m in add-ons. Mount has signed a five-year contract with the option for a further year. Chelsea rejected United's first three bids for Mount before an agreement was reached. It has been announced that Real Madrid have completed the signing of Jude Bellingham from Borussia Dortmund on a six-year deal. The Spanish giants will pay 103m euros for the 19-year-old, in addition to various potential add-ons. If those add-ons are achieved, the deal could reach 133.9m euros.  Bellingham was one of England's top performers at last year's World Cup and was named the Bundesliga's player of the season as Dortmund missed out on a first league title in 11 years on the final day. Leeds United striker Joe Gelhardt had been linked with a return to his former club Wigan Athletic but in the end, he made the temporary move to Sunderland. The 20-year-old will remain with the Black Cats until the end of the season after making 15 Premier League appearances so far this campaign. Gelhardt becomes the Wearside club's third signing of the January window after Pierre Ekwah and Isaac Lihadji.  Chelsea have made another signing. Will this be value for money? This time it's the 22-year-old Ukrainian forward Mykhaylo Mudryk from Shakhtar Donetsk. The Stamford Bridge side secured the player's signature at the expense of Premier League rivals Arsenal who had been long-term admirers of Mudryk and initially looked in pole position to sign him. The forward put his name to a mammoth eight-and-a-half-year deal and is keen to get started at Stamford Bridge. It's their fourth January deal after David Datro Fofana from Molde, Benoit Badiashile from Monaco and Andrey Santos from Vasco da Gama. Liverpool have reached an agreement to sign Netherlands forward Cody Gakpo from PSV Eindhoven. The deal is worth £35.4m-£44.3m and the Eredivisie club say it is a record transfer fee for them. There has been an interesting development with of La Liga's most decorated players. Sevilla have reached an agreement to terminate Isco's contract, just four months after signing the former Spain midfielder on a free transfer. He joined Sevilla on a two-year deal in August after long and successful spell with La Liga rivals Real Madrid. He signed from Malaga in 2013 and helped Real win the Champions League five times and La Liga three times. However, he has now been released after just 19 games for Sevilla, scoring once and claiming three assists. It will be certainly interesting to see where he ends up next. Could a Premier League club sign him? There will certainly be plenty of interest in signing a player with som much experience at the highest level of football. A player has left the Premier League Dele Alli has completed a season’s loan move from Everton to Besiktas that gives the Turkish club the option to buy the midfielder. Alli has experienced a disappointing spell at Everton since joining from Tottenham last January, making 13 appearances, including two as a substitute this season. Besiktas have an option to buy for £6m before 1 January or for £8m after that until June. Alli will otherwise return to Everton, where he would have one year on his contract. Everton signed Alli on a free but have to pay Spurs £10m if he makes 20 appearances for them. Further add-ons are dependent on team and individual achievements. Chelsea have made another signing. Will this be the last big announcement from the club before the transfer window closes? Chelsea have signed French centre-back Wesley Fofana from Leicester City on a seven-year deal for a fee in the region of £70m. France Under-21 international Fofana has made 37 Premier League appearances since joining Leicester from French side Saint-Etienne in 2020. You just know that we're in for a busy few days in the transfer market. It has been announced that RB Leipzig have re-signed Chelsea forward Timo Werner on a permanent deal, two years after he left the club for the Premier League. Chelsea met the Germany international's £45m release clause in 2020 but will make a loss, with Werner returning in a deal thought to be about £25m. He has signed a four-year deal to 2026 with his former club. Werner scored 23 goals in 89 games in all competitions for Chelsea, winning the Champions League in 2021. Having signed Raheem Sterling a few days ago, Chelsea have made another signing. They have signed centre-back Kalidou Koulibaly on a four-year deal from Napoli. The Senegal international joined Napoli from Genk in 2014 and made 317 appearances for the Italian side. His arrival at Stamford Bridge follows the departures of defenders Antonio Rudiger to Real Madrid and Andreas Christensen to Barcelona, both on free transfers. The defender has been linked with a number of clubs over recent seasons, including Manchester United and Manchester City. Koulibaly made his senior debut for Senegal in September 2015 and has since earned 62 caps, captaining the team to victory at the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations. Manchester United have announced the signing of Christian Eriksen. He has joined the club and has signed a contract until June 2025. The midfielder has been capped 115 times for Denmark, scoring 38 goals for his country. The former England Under-21s defender moves for a reported £10m. Richards, 24, joined Bayern in 2021 from Reading, making 17 appearances and helping them to a 32nd Bundesliga title.  Brighton have announced the signing of Ivorian striker Simon Adingra from Danish side FC Nordsjaelland on a four-year contract. The 20-year-old joined the Superliga club in January 2020 and scored on his debut against FC Copenhagen in April 2021. Last season, Adingra contributed 10 goals and four assists for Nordsjaelland in 33 league and cup appearances. Brighton technical director David Weir was full of praise for his new signing and welcomed Adingra to the club. Weir told the Brighton website : "We’re delighted to welcome Simon to the club. Manchester United have announced that Paul Pogba and Jesse Lingard will leave the club once their contracts expire Both players drew widespread attention as part of United's Youth Cup winning side of 2011. Pogba departs again.  A statement on United's website reads: "The club can announce that Paul Pogba will leave Manchester United at the end of June, upon the expiry of his contract." The 27-year-old Belgium striker is out of contract at the end of the season, having not played enough games this term to trigger a one-year extension to the deal.
