After Jayson Molumby was sent off for two bookable offences in the 70th minute, the home side did well to see out the game as Forest chased a winner against 10 men. Forest, who have now lost just once in 13 games, had to be the more content of the two teams after a fifth draw in six. Albion had a chance to win it in stoppage time when substitute Jordan Hugill blazed over. They were then booed off by some of their fans after another goalless draw. They were seeking an eighth successive win but they were denied by Wayne Rooney’s side. The home side were left frustrated after being unable to capitalise on a succession of good chances.  Let's have a look at some of the best reaction Wayne Rooney said after the game: “It is a good point, a very difficult game against one of the best teams in the division. After the last week, to get four points against Bournemouth and Fulham, they deserve credit for that.” “I give the players big demands every day and they haven’t let me down one bit, We’ll keep fighting and pushing, you never know – even if there’s a small chance of staying up.” Here's @WayneRooney on 'a good point' at Fulham! 🗣️ #DCFC — Derby County (@dcfcofficial) November 24, 2021 Silva added: “It wasn’t our best performance but we created enough to win

UCL: Manchester City 2 - 1 Paris Saint Germain

Manchester City came back from behind to beat Paris St-Germain and secure qualification for the last 16 of the Champions League. They have also done so as group winners.  The home side's outstanding display reaped the reward it deserved, as they showed great character after Kylian Mbappe swept PSG into the lead. The PSG manager Mauricio Pochettino was left disappointed as City hit back in style to turn the game around. Raheem Sterling's recent good run carried on as he turned home Kyle Walker's far post touch to equalise after 63 minutes. Then Gabriel Jesus was the beneficiary of a superb pass from Bernardo Silva to beat Kaylor Navas from close range.  All the reaction Pep Guardiola said: "Of course, PSG, what a team, what players, what could I say. Performance is quite similar to Paris a month ago. Today we created more chances in the first half. We played well and always we had the sense that they could run in behind." Kyle Walker tweeted: "Buzzing

Southgate you're the one

England manager Gareth Southgate has signed a new contract to keep him in the role until December 2024. He has been manager of England since November 2016. During this time in charge, he led England to the final of Euro 2020 - their best performance in a competition since the 1966 World Cup.  He told the media: "It remains an incredible privilege to lead this team. We have a great opportunity in front of us." "I would like to take this opportunity to thank the players and support team for their hard work. I know they and the fans are all excited about what this squad could achieve in future." Assistant manager Steve Holland has also agreed a new deal through to the end of 2024. In 2018, he led England to the World Cup semi-finals for the first time in 28 years. Under his tenure, they also finished third in the Uefa Nations League before reaching the previously mentioned Euro 2020 final, where they lost on penalties to Italy. Southgate also added with the media:

Goals at PSV catch the eye He scored 77 goals in 90 matches for PSV. This earned him a move to Manchester United.  In the Spring of 2000, he looked set to complete a then club-record £18.5 million transfer to Manchester United. He was to be unveiled at a press conference four days later, but it was instead announced that the transfer had been postponed over concerns about his fitness. Not long after, he suffered a rupture to his anterior cruciate knee ligaments during a training session, leaving him injured for a year. Eventual move and success at Manchester United In his first season at Old Trafford, he scored 36 goals in 49 appearances. One of his best performances came in a 3-2 FA Cup win over Ast

Championship reaction: Swansea City 1 - 1 Blackpool

Blackpool claimed a Championship point thanks to Keshi Anderson's late equaliser at Swansea City. Joel Piroe's goal had looked set to give Swansea a fifth straight home win. In a game of not many chances, Anderson prodded home to extend Blackpool's unbeaten away run.  Highlights Watch the highlights in the video below. One Blackpool fan commented: "Looks like Swansea had a good shout for one penalty the other a bit soft. VAR in the championship would have given it.  Saying that it would have probably meant another five points for us from the Stoke and QPR games so win some lose some and today fir a change we got away with it. What I do like is this new Blackpool team never give up. Well done Neil!" All the reaction After the match, Swansea head coach Russell Martin told the media: "The best thing about the first half was the goal. We got to the box and didn't go for the jugular because they didn't feel it was the right moment.  "There were a

Scottish League Cup: Rangers 1 - 3 Hibernian

Image
Martin Boyle's stunning first-half hat-trick booked Hibernian's place in the League Cup final against Celtic in front of new Rangers manager Giovanni van Bronckhorst. Boyle's three goals came in 29 crazy minutes. He first came after scooping in from a corner. He then smashed a fine finish and a penalty past Allan McGregor. Scott Arfield gave Rangers a small lifeline at the end of a brilliant half. The Scottish champions failed to test goalkeeper Matt Macey in a lacklustre second 45 minutes.  It turned out a miserable start to the post-Steven Gerrard era. Van Bronckhorst is expected to take control on Monday.  The Ibrox club have now progressed beyond the semi-final stage of the two cup competitions just once in their last nine attempts. They will be desperate to sort that out in the Scottish Cup. More Hibs reaction Hibernian posted this video after the match. Ole is no longer at the wheel Manchester United have sacked manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer following their 4-1 defeat at Watford. Michael Carrick has been placed in temporary charge while United reportedly seek an interim manager to the end of the current campaign. "He will forever be welcome back at Old Trafford as part of the Manchester United family." See the below for some reaction from that awful performance away at Watford. Solskjaer replaced Jose Mourinho on an interim basis back in December 2018. He was then given the job full-time in March 2019 on a three-year contract and, in July, signed a new deal with the club until 2024.
