Premier League: United's youngsters shine
Manchester United 3 - 0 West Ham United
This could prove to be an important day and win for Manchester United.
Despite West Ham starting well, Rasmus Hojlund eventually put Man United 1-0 up in the middle of the first half, continuing his excellent run in the Premier League with four goals in his last four games, giving the Red Devils a crucial lead.
Casemiro played a huge role in this goal. Man United fans will wondering how much much of an impact he'll have during the rest of the season.
Ten Hag's side had numerous chances in the first half, but it was only after the break that they doubled the lead.
This time, Garnacho made a slick move inside and got a bit of luck with a deflection from his shot. Garnacho then bagged a third goal after a strong run from substitute Scott McTominay, just six minutes before the end of normal time.
It was a positive afternoon at the Theatre of Dreams. However, the mood amongst United's support was dampened by a concerning injury suffered by Lisandro Martinez. The Argentine picked up the knock during a defensive battle with Vladimir Coufal. Although he initially tried to soldier on, Martinez had to be substituted after collapsing in pain a short while later, raising concerns among the fans.

There was something fitting about the sight of Garnacho, Hojlund, and Kobbie Mainoo perched on an advertising board in front of the Stretford End after their second goal.
Before the victory against Aston Villa on Boxing Day, Hojlund hadn't scored a league goal. Now, he has notched up four in four games since breaking his duck against Aston Villa on 26th December. His latest effort showcased a blend of skill and force.
Garnacho is even younger than Hojlund. While expecting the teenager to emulate Cristiano Ronaldo's entire career might be a stretch, there's a resemblance in the way Garnacho, like the Portuguese superstar in his early days, produces moments of sublime skill followed by the occasional wrong decision.
Mainoo had been substituted by the time Garnacho scored his second goal. His replacement, McTominay, surged forward with determination to set up the third goal. Although Mainoo's performance lacked the dramatic flair of his winner against Wolves, the youngster once again displayed composure in midfield.

"Some aspects of the performance were ok..."
Despite the defeat, many West Ham fans were content with some aspects of the performance. Jamie P told us: "Some aspects of the performance were actually ok. We played well and at high speed in the first half. That was actually the best I've seen from us since the win over Arsenal. We just need Bowen to go back on the wing now and for Soucek to play centre-forward. This would allow us to win our fair share of the headers from the long balls from the back and mid play."
Jonathan, another Hammers fan added: "Manchester United looked dangerous when they moved forward. However, wewere a lot quicker on the ball at times. With a bit more quality in the final third, a 3-3 draw wouldn't have neen out of the question"
This was the reaction of the West Ham boss after the match.
"Overall we're disappointed we didn't get anything from the game"
