Premier League: Liverpool 2 - 2 Manchester City

You can see some of the best moments from the game in the video below. Both teams will ultimately feel they might have won this game. Manchester City’s attack looks like it can cause problems for any team in the world but you'd still have to wonder if City's main weakness is their lack of an out and out striker.  There was some top-class football on show from both sides but there were some controversial moments. James Milner will know he was extremely lucky not to be sent off here for persistent fouling before he was eventually substituted just after 70 minutes.  Reaction from the men in charge The Liverpool manager said after the match:  "Probably less than average, we were too passive with and without the ball and played right into City's hands. That was the worst half we ha

Easier said than done when that final match is Italy away.  A battling and sometimes heroic display from the Three Lions earned them a 0-0 draw and qualification was secured. Not a lot of flair from the attacking players but the point was well deserved. Watch some of the highlights from the game in the video below. Germany 1 - 5 England - Even Heskey scored Germany had beaten England at the start of the end of the qualifying campaign. One fan was highly critical of United's performance: "No words anymore, 2 years defending the man but you just can’t anymore. This McFred nonsense is haunting us and it’s destroying any chance of success. Please Ole just don’t use these 2 and you might save your position here!" This other fan had similar criticisms: "Even though we know Fred made a mistake, but look at how Shaw just ran away from his position. Lindelof was winning that challenge but Shaw disrupted it. Shaw was equally as bad as Fred was in this game. This is not the first time it's happening. Shaw does this a lot." Scotland: Aberdeen 1 - 2 Celtic

Image
Jota's late winner earned Celtic a first away Scottish Premiership win since last season as Aberdeen's poor form continued.  Kyogo Furuhashi chested in a deserved early opener but the hosts improved after the break and equalised when Lewis Ferguson diverted a corner in. In the end, Celtic responded late at Pittodrie as Jota's close-range finish earned a probably deserved one. The result means Celtic remain sixth and Aberdeen stay ninth. The home side are without a win in nine games. This includes a four-game losing streak in the Premiership. It is their worst run in the top-flight since April 2011. Reaction Aberdeen manager Stephen Glass said: "Overall we're disappointed, but I'm pleased with the second half. "We're concerned we're not getting the points we deserve on the board. It's important we keep trying to get it right." He also spoke with his club's social media accounts. 📺 Post match reaction from our manager. pic.twitter.c
