Cristiano Ronaldo scored with almost the last kick of the match as Manchester United came from behind to beat Villarreal. The repeat of last season's Europa League final looked to be heading for a draw but summer signing Ronaldo stroked home from Jesse Lingard's lay-off to spark some incredible scenes. Watch the highlights in the video below This United side still looked to be papering over the cracks as they once again failed to find any real cohesion in the final third of the pitch. Ronaldo, Fernandes, Mason Greenwood, Jadon Sancho and Paul Pogba all started in front of a passionate Old Trafford crowd. It's time to have a look at one of David Beckham's finest performances at Old Trafford.   Greater Manchester Football published this as part of their 'Magic Moments' series.  At times, the soon to be former Man United number 7 was almost playing Greece on his own. No player worked harder to make sure England qualified for the 2002 World Cup. Sven Goran Eriksson's England side were trailing the Greeks 2-1 deep into injury time and they looked destined for a potentially difficult play-off against Ukraine. David Beckham was having none of that. Let's take a look take a look back at a dramatic encounter between Manchester United and Liverpool from January 1999.  Read the original article here In January 1999, Manchester United pulled off the perfect smash-and-grab with two goals in the last two minutes to secure a famous FA Cup victory over their arch rivals. United, who at the time had not been beaten by the Anfield side in the competition since 1922, looked to be heading out after being caught napping by Michael Owen's second minute header. Here's some of the best reaction as Arsenal won the first North London derby of the season. How good were Arsenal in those first 45 minutes? Watch the video below and judge for yourself.  A brief summary of the match The Gunners raced into a 3-0 lead in the first 45 minutes thanks to goals from Smith Rowe (12'minutes), Aubameyang (27'minutes) and Saka (34'minutes). Premier League: Chelsea 0 - 1 Manchester City

Manchester City picked up an impressive win away at Chelsea. How important could this result prove to be? Everyone associated with City will be delighted that they got revenge after last season's Champions League final defeat. Gabriel Jesus settled the close affair when his 53rd-minute effort took a deflection off Jorginho to beat Chelsea keeper Edouard Mendy. Very few could question City's right to the win and many would argue that the victory margin should have been far more emphatic. Chelsea were unusually conservative in their style of play throughout the match. Some interesting stats Despite being the away side, City had more possession (59% to Chelsea's 41%) and more shots (15 to Chelsea's 5). The home side didn't have one single shot on target. Let's take a look at some of the most interesting results from another fun weekend across the lower levels of the English football pyramid. Games at this level are starting to attract bigger crowds as some fans are no longer satisfied by the way football is being run at the top level of the game.  Northern Premier League: Stalybridge Celtic thrash FC United of Manchester FC United of Manchester were thrashed 5-2 in a local derby against Stalybridge Celtic. This comes only a few days after they exited the FA Cup against Blyth Spartans. Ole Gunnar Solskjaer says Aston Villa's winning goal should not have been allowed after his Manchester United suffered a second straight home defeat. Kortney Hause had put Aston Villa ahead with a late  header before Bruno Fernandes missed a stoppage-time penalty after Hause had handled. Villa arrived at Old Trafford seeking a first point on the road in the Premier League. They left celebrating a memorable victory after a highly impressive performance. Villa fans hadn't seen an away win at Old Trafford since 2009. They have now climbed a few positions in the Premier League table and now sit in 8th place.
