Brentford 3 - 1 Manchester United
Igor Thiago struck twice in the opening 20 minutes to punish Manchester United’s slack defending and give Brentford a commanding lead. Benjamin Sesko responded with his first goal since arriving from RB Leipzig, briefly lifting the visitors’ hopes of a comeback. Those hopes rose further when Nathan Collins fouled Bryan Mbeumo in the box, but Bruno Fernandes saw his penalty brilliantly saved by Caoimhin Kelleher after a lengthy delay involving a VAR review and substitutions.
Brentford made sure of the points in stoppage time as Mathias Jensen fired past Altay Bayindir from the edge of the area. The defeat leaves Ruben Amorim still unable to string together back-to-back league wins, underlining the struggles of his side almost a year into his tenure at Old Trafford.
Newcastle United 1 - 2 Arsenal
Gabriel struck a 96th-minute winner as Arsenal secured a dramatic victory over Newcastle. The defender rose to meet Martin Ødegaard’s corner, sending manager Mikel Arteta into celebration on the touchline.

Tottenham Hotspur 1 - 1 Wolves
Joao Palhinha struck deep into stoppage time to earn Tottenham a point and deny Wolves a first Premier League victory of the campaign. Wolves looked set to end their winless run after Santiago Bueno bundled home from close range in the 54th minute, pouncing after Guglielmo Vicario’s save ricocheted off Palhinha and fell kindly at his feet. The centre-back made no mistake at the second attempt.
Crystal Palace 2 - 1 Liverpool
Eddie Nketiah struck with virtually the last kick of the game at Selhurst Park to give Crystal Palace a richly deserved victory and halt Liverpool’s perfect start to the Premier League season.

West Ham United sack Graham Potter
The Englishman, who was appointed in January, picked up just three points from the opening five Premier League games. He took charge of 25 matches since being appointed, winning just six times. They finished last season in 14th place in the league.
The club said in a statement: "Results and performances over the course of the second half of last season and the start of the 2025-26 season have not matched expectations."
Arsenal 1 - 1 Manchester City
Manchester City struck first through Erling Haaland, who calmly rolled the ball past David Raya to finish a ruthless counterattack. Arsenal pressed hard after the break in search of an equaliser and their persistence paid off deep into stoppage time, when Gabriel Martinelli clipped a deft finish over Gianluigi Donnarumma to send the home crowd into raptures.
Manchester United 2 - 1 Chelsea
United capitalised on Robert Sanchez's fifth-minute red card to secure a crucial victory over Chelsea in torrential rain at Old Trafford. This was the first match in Premier League history to see two or more goals, red cards and substitutions in the first half was settled by goals from United skipper Bruno Fernandes and Casemiro, who was the other player sent off before the break.
Wolves 1 - 3 Leeds United
Three first-half goals earned Leeds their first Premier League away win of the season at Wolves, who remain bottom of the table without a point.

Burnley 1 - 1 Nottingham Forest
Ange Postecoglou is still searching for his first win as Forest manager after Burnley salvaged a draw at Turf Moor thanks to Oleksandr Zinchenko’s misfortune.
Liverpool 2 - 1 Everton
Liverpool maintained their perfect start to the season with a fifth consecutive victory, defeating Everton in the Merseyside derby.
Manchester City 3 - 0 Manchester United
Manchester City eased past struggling rivals Manchester United as pressure starts to build on the Manchester United manager. These were the words of David, a Manchester United fan: "When Kobbie Mainoo came on and Bruno Fernandes moved into the number 10 role, he looked far more comfortable and threatening. His passing accuracy was poor throughout, though, and from a defensive perspective, he remains a liability. He is not strong in the tackle and struggles to sense danger. The solution is straightforward: play him higher up the pitch."

Fulham 1 - 0 Leeds United
The Cottagers are up and running in this season's Premier League. A dramatic own goal by Gabriel Gudmundsson in stoppage time gave Fulham a fortunate first Premier League win of the season at the expense of Leeds United.
Burnley 0 - 1 Liverpool
Liverpool once again left it late as Mohamed Salah’s stoppage-time penalty preserved their perfect start to the Premier League season and denied Burnley a hard-earned point.
Crystal Palace 0 - 0 Sunderland
Both sides struggled to find any rhythm in a mostly drab and underwhelming opening 90 minutes. Palace winger Yeremy Pino looked the most likely to break the deadlock but fired wide on two occasions after finding pockets of space on the edge of the box. Jean-Philippe Mateta struck the game's first shot on target in the 49th minute, forcing a save out of Robin Roefs with Pino's rebound blocked away for a corner.
Arsenal 3 - 0 Nottingham Forest
Forest's new era started with an emphatic defeat against Arsenal. The home side will have been encouraged by the display, particularly given the absence of several key players. The only concern came in the first half when captain Martin Ødegaard was forced off with what appeared to be a shoulder problem.
