Turkey: Ali joins Besiktas on loan

A player has left the Premier League Dele Alli has completed a season’s loan move from Everton to Besiktas that gives the Turkish club the option to buy the midfielder. Alli has experienced a disappointing spell at Everton since joining from Tottenham last January, making 13 appearances, including two as a substitute this season. Besiktas have an option to buy for £6m before 1 January or for £8m after that until June. Alli will otherwise return to Everton, where he would have one year on his contract. Everton signed Alli on a free but have to pay Spurs £10m if he makes 20 appearances for them. Further add-ons are dependent on team and individual achievements. Besiktas are level with the top club, Fenerbahce, after three matches. Besiktas supporters gave Alli a raucous welcome when he arrived at Ataturk Airport in Istanbul to seal his transfer. Chelsea have made another signing. Will this be the last big announcement from the club before the transfer window closes? Chelsea have signed French centre-back Wesley Fofana from Leicester City on a seven-year deal for a fee in the region of £70m. France Under-21 international Fofana has made 37 Premier League appearances since joining Leicester from French side Saint-Etienne in 2020. Fofana's initial fee makes him the 12th most expensive Premier League signing, but he will drop to 13th when Manchester United complete the £81.3m signing of Antony. The first sacking of the Premier League season has been announced. Photo credit -  Football Pictures | Flickr Bournemouth have announced the sacking of boss Scott Parker after Saturday's 9-0 defeat by Liverpool, four games into the season. The Liverpool thrashing was Bournemouth's third straight league defeat, having won their opening match. Gary O'Neil will take interim charge of the team and will be assisted by Shaun Cooper and Tommy Elphick. Parker left Fulham for Bournemouth in June 2021 and led them to promotion from the Championship as runners-up, but his managerial statistics since returning to the Premier League make unhappy reading.
