Luton Town 1 - 5 Brentford Yoane Wissa netted twice as Brentford sailed past Luton, easing their worries by surging 10 points ahead of the relegation danger. Wissa swiftly connected with Bryan Mbeumo 's pass, beautifully curling in the opening goal from the box's edge just 24 minutes into the match. Before the half-time whistle, the DR Congo striker seized another opportunity, reacting fastest to a loose ball following Luton's failure to clear Mbeumo's low cross. Ethan Pinnock, back in the starting lineup after a hiatus since February, nodded in a Sergio Reguilon corner in the 62nd minute, firmly placing Brentford in control. Premier League news and stories: 2023/2024  Luton appeared disheartened and short on ideas, highlighted when Keane Lewis-Potter found space at the far post to head in Mbeumo's cross two minutes later, followed by Kevin Schade wrapping up the visitor's scoring.  Arsenal 2 - 1 Brentford Arsenal moved once again to the top of the Premier League. Kai Havertz’s fourth goal in successive league games sealed a hard-fought win over Brentford. Having scored 21 times in their previous four league matches, the Gunners were quickly on the look for number 22, and just two minutes in Ivan Toney had to nudge a wicked Rice corner off his line to avoid suffering a quick concession. All the latest Arsenal news and stories from European Super Football can be found here But given their razor-sharp form in front of goal, it always looked like they would soon find the net, and that proved to be the case after 18 minutes. Ben White found Bukayo Saka on the right flank, who returned it to the full-back. He had ample time to put a pinpoint delivery into the area where Rice had got in front of Mads Roerslev to glance a fine header past Mark Flekken and net his sixth goal of the campaign - the best return of his career. Premier League: McTominay rescues Manchester United

Image
Manchester United 2 - 1 Brentford Manchester United pulled off a stunning comeback victory against Brentford at Old Trafford, with Scott McTominay emerging as the hero in stoppage time.  Initially, it seemed like Manchester United might suffer their third consecutive home league defeat for the first time since 1979, all thanks to Mathias Jensen's first-half goal. McTominay was a late substitute, coming on with only three minutes left on the clock as manager Erik ten Hag desperately searched for a lifeline. And the Scottish midfielder delivered spectacularly. He displayed impeccable control before slamming the ball into the net when Kristoffer Ajer mishandled a clearance inside his penalty area for the first goal. Then, following a save from Anthony Martial's low shot by Thomas Strakosha, McTominay reacted swiftly to a Harry Maguire flick and netted the priceless second goal. A turning point for Manchester United? The home fans continued their jubilation long after the fina

Brighton and Hove Albion 3 - 3 Brentford Brighton and Brentford played out one of the games of the season as both clubs chase European qualification.  Brighton settled into an early rhythm, keeping the ball well, and looking to get Solly March and Mitoma involved from wide areas. The returning Jansson was stepping out of defence to shadow Argentina’s World Cup winner, Mac Allister, wherever he went. That left space in the right centre-back position which Brighton tried to exploit. A brilliant Pinnock challenge was the only thing that stopped Mitoma from opening the scoring on six minutes - the Japanese winger racing down that channel and in on goal from Moises Caicedo’s through ball. From the resulting corner, Mathias Jensen got his body in the way of March’s close-range effort.Joel Veltman had Brighton’s next opening, again from a corner, before Brentford took the lead with their first real foray forward. After sending everyone up for a long throw, Jensen went short before receiv
