Premier League; Chelsea ease to first win of the season
Chelsea 3 - 0 Luton Town
From a Chelsea perspective, the big team news before kick-off was the presence of Moises Caicedo in the starting line-up for his full debut. He replaced the injured Carney Chukwuemeka.
As expected before the match, Chelsea dominated possession throughout the game. It didn’t take long for the Blues to find a way past the defence and force the first save. A loose ball followed a set-piece dropped toward Sterling but his fierce volley was well held by Thomas Kaminski.
It wasn't long before Raheem Sterling gave Chelsea a deserved lead, weaving his way through the Hatters defence to score a fine solo goal.
The Blues had to be patient before securing the emphatic scoreline that the home side's dominance deserved. This began with Sterling netting his second after half-time by turning in Malo Gusto's low cross. Jackson then scored Chelsea's third goal via a similar route, Sterling providing the ball for him to slide in.
Ultimately, this proved to be a comfortable night for Chelsea that saw them get their first win under Pochettino.
For Luton, they defended well at times but they appear to lack quality at times. The next few days of the Transfer Window could be very important as they probably a season long battle against relegation.

Lauren, a Chelsea fan from Rochdale in Greater Manchester, told us: "Congratulations to everyone on the win for this season. I thought Raheem Sterling had a great match, and will prove to be a very important player this season."
Lewis, also commented on Sterling's return to form: "It's astonishing how someone can suddenly gain confidence. His first five yards with the ball at his feet are an absolute turnaround from the past few years. I think he will be a special player for club and country this season."

Frank, a fan was in that Luton away end, said: "We have seen improvement in the two weeks since the Brighton match. We are also really proud of the players. In the end it came down to a few individual moments. During the match, you could argue that we competed well, and I am excited about we will progress this season."
Jamie, also a Luton fan, told us on Facebook: "You could see from the away end but we worked so hard but lack the quality to compete against the Premier League's best this season. I still think we can do well against the sides in the bottom six."
