The greatest Manchester derbies

Let's take a look at some of the memorable Manchester derbies from the past. It has provided some incredible moments. Man United 0-1 Man City, April 1974. Did Denis Law really relegate Manchester United?  Technically no. United would have been relegated anyway after Birmingham beat Norwich City in their final game of the campaign, It was a definite low point for United though. Huddersfield Town 3 - 0 Peterborough United Two first-half goals put Huddersfield on the way to a thoroughly dominant victory over relegation-threatened Peterborough that moved the Terriers up to second in the Championship. OIlie Turton hit the bar while Lewis O'Brien and Duane Holmes both twice went close before Lees finally added Town's third by heading home Harry Toffolo's cushioned knockback from another corner. The victory pushed Carlos Corberan's side above Bournemouth but the Cherries have five games in hand on Huddersfield and will return to the second automatic promotion spot if they avoid defeat at Preston on Saturday. --- You can watch the highlights of the match in the video below. Fa Cup: Crystal Palace progress against Stoke City

Crystal Palace 2 - 1 Stoke City Despite progressing in the cup, Crystal Palace boss Patrick Vieira told the media that his players' concentration was not good enough after seeing his side reach the quarter-finals. Jairo Riedewald scored a late winner as Palace delivered with their only two shots on target to beat the Championship team. Palace led when Jean-Philippe Mateta's deflected shot landed to Cheikhou Kouyate, who hammered the ball into the top corner from six yards out. Manchester United 0 - 0 Watford Manchester United dropped two more points in their quest for a Champions League place and left the pitch to boos after being frustrated by the lowly visitors, despite dominating the game at Old Trafford. The Red Devils had 22 shots against Watford but on the only time they found the net, Cristiano Ronaldo was offside. Ronaldo then hit a post and struck team-mate Anthony Elanga with a goal-bound shot. PL news: Bielsa sacked by Leeds United

Marcelo Bielsa has been sacked by Leeds United after a run of poor form that saw his former side suffer several heavy defeats. The 66-year-old Argentine was appointed in June 2018 and leaves with the Whites two points above the relegation zone. Under Bielsa, Leeds finished ninth last season on their return to the Premier League after a long absence. The video below contains his final interview as Leeds manager. Leeds had finished mid-table in the Championship in six of the previous seven seasons before Bielsa's arrival.
