Premier League: Fulham thrash West Ham

 Fulham 5 - 0 West Ham United

Raul Jimenez continued his impressive resurgence, scoring another goal as Fulham convincingly defeated a lackluster West Ham, marking their second five-goal triumph in just five days at Craven Cottage.

Fulham 5 - 0 West Ham

The Mexican forward opened the scoring by heading in Joao Palhinha's cross, notching his fourth goal in five league games.

Under Marco Silva's management, Fulham dominated the first half, with Willian adding a second from Andreas Pereira's cut-back and Tosin Adarabioyo out-jumping Kurt Zouma to head in the third from a corner.

Despite Lukasz Fabianski denying substitute Harry Wilson, Fulham's dominance continued, culminating in them sealing their second 5-0 victory of the week.

This awful performance from West Ham, devoid of energy and ideas, saw them overwhelmed within 18 minutes, leaving Fulham fans delighted with another stellar home display.

Fulham, who struggled initially, now boasts 15 goals in their past four games, a stark contrast to their meagre 10 goals in the opening 12 league matches of the season.

On the flip side, this day will be swiftly forgotten by West Ham and David Moyes, especially after the manager hailed their comeback win against Tottenham just three days prior as "one of the biggest wins" in his career.

A victory could have levelled West Ham with fifth-placed Tottenham, but with the missed opportunity, they now face the task of regrouping for their Europa League clash against Freiburg on Thursday night.

After the match, we spoke with Gary on Facebook. The Fulham Season Ticket holder told us: "It was a fantastic performance from Fulham. It was great to see the players perform at that level. We were solid as a team and created enough chances to score seven or eight."

Frankie, another Fulham fan, added: "The last two results and performances have been sensational."

Reaction from West Ham United

Jamie from Dagenham told us: "After that victory against Spurs, it was always going to be difficult to perform at that level again. I'm not happy with the result and display that went with it, but the team are in a decent position. Generaly speaking, we're in a far better position than five years ago."

This is what West Ham boss David Moyes had to say. One Hammers fan replied: "We're all still behind you!"

Peter Jones Dunham, another West Ham fan, was in the away end at Craven Cottage. He tried to explain his side's poor result and performance. He said: "We couldn't recover our form. Fulham had a Wednesday fixture while we played on Thursday. Although it's not an excuse for the result, it did have an impact. It's disheartening, but considering we faced two challenging away games this week, securing three points from the pair is a decent outcome."
