Bradford City carry on impressive form

Bradford City 3 - 1 Grimsby Town Bradford City secured their third win in four matches with an impressive performance against fellow play-off contenders Grimsby Town. Author - William G Goals from Lewis Richards and Richie Smallwood gave the Bantams a strong lead, with Alex Pattison adding a third after Cameron McJannet had briefly brought the visitors back into the game. Grimsby goalkeeper Jordan Wright was in fine form during the first half, frustrating Bradford with a string of excellent saves. He denied Ciaran Kelly's close-range header and then produced a stunning double save to keep out Antoni Sarcevic and Bobby Pointon.  Wright then parried Calum Kavanagh's long-range effort as Bradford, missing injured top scorer Andy Cook, pushed for an opener. The breakthrough finally came just before the interval, as Richards latched onto Aden Baldwin's cross to score in back-to-back games. Watch the highlights of the match. League Two: Notts County thrash Grimsby

Notts County 4 - 1 Grimsby Town Dan Crowley was the star of the show as Notts County secured their first League Two win of the season as they thrashed Grimsby. The Magpies captain delivered a perfectly placed cross, allowing Alassana Jatta to score his third goal in as many games, giving the home side an early lead. Crowley then slipped into the box unnoticed to double the advantage. Jodi Jones added to the tally with a beautifully chipped goal, but Grimsby pulled one back through Harvey Rodgers, who found the far corner. In the second half, Crowley’s deflected shot sealed the victory, as Notts County climbed to fourth place in the early League Two table , while Grimsby dropped to 16th. The tone of the evening was set early on when Grimsby goalkeeper Jordan Wright made a superb reaction save, denying Crowley’s low shot from opening the scoring.
