Portsmouth ease to win over Swansea

Portsmouth 4 - 0 Swansea Portsmouth climbed out of the Championship's bottom three with a commanding victory over Swansea City at a rain-soaked Fratton Park. Author - Jack L Josh Murphy's crisp first-time strike put the hosts ahead in the 22nd minute, and Paddy Lane doubled their advantage just seven minutes later, capitalising on defensive uncertainty. Swansea City 1 - 1 Cardiff City Callum Robinson came off the bench to rescue a point for Cardiff City with a late equaliser against arch-rivals Swansea City, securing their first point of the season in the South Wales derby. Liam Cullen had ignited the already charged atmosphere by putting the Swans ahead after just 10 minutes, capitalising on a rebound after Ronald’s volley was parried by Ethan Horvath. Cardiff seemed destined for a sixth derby defeat in seven matches after a lacklustre first-half performance, but manager Erol Bulut's substitutions sparked a significant improvement, leading to Robinson’s well-crafted equaliser. EFL: Saints continue impressive form

Swansea City 1 - 3 Southampton Southampton set a new club record with an unbeaten streak of 21 games, as they secured a 3-1 victory in Russell Martin's return to Swansea City.  The Saints are now well in the race for automatic promotion to the Premier League.  Che Adams opened the scoring just six minutes into the game, slotting home from close range. The momentum continued to shift in Southampton's favour as Will Smallbone tapped in their second goal. However, Swansea managed to pull one back against the run of play with a Jamie Paterson header. The Saints then swiftly regained control, with Flynn Downes' 20-yard drive deflecting into the net. Despite Swansea's late rally , including Jerry Yates and Paterson hitting the woodwork, Southampton comfortably held on to secure three points.  Blackpool claimed a Championship point thanks to Keshi Anderson's late equaliser at Swansea City. Joel Piroe's goal had looked set to give Swansea a fifth straight home win. In a game of not many chances, Anderson prodded home to extend Blackpool's unbeaten away run.  Highlights Watch the highlights in the video below. Cardiff City manager Mick McCarthy has pledged to fight on after Swansea inflicted a south Wales derby mauling and a sixth successive defeat on his side.  Jamie Paterson, Joël Piroe and Jake Bidwell were on target as Swansea piled the pressure on the embattled McCarthy with a comfortable victory.
