The 27-year-old completed a season-long loan move from Southampton to St James’ Park on Saturday. Ramsdale was first signed by Howe in 2017, when the then-Bournemouth manager brought him in from Sheffield United for a fee of around £800,000. Newcastle turned their focus to Aaron Ramsdale after Manchester City moved quickly to secure James Trafford from Burnley.
