League One: Early contender for game of the season

Cambridge United 4 - 4 Blackpool Cambridge United staged a stunning comeback from 4-1 down to secure a thrilling 4-4 draw against a Blackpool side currently without a manager in League One. > The visitors took an early lead when their captain, James Husband, was left unmarked to head in Lee Evans’ corner just five minutes into the match. Cambridge responded on 28 minutes, with Shayne Lavery equalising against his former club after connecting with a cross from James Brophy. Husband, who had only scored twice in 180 appearances for Blackpool, unexpectedly doubled his tally by nodding in another Evans corner 10 minutes later. EFL: Blackpool thrash QPR

 Blackpool 6 - 1 QPR Blackpool picked up a massive three points with a dominant victory over QPR. Goals from Jerry Yates, Andy Lyons, Curtis Nelson and Jordan Thorniley had Pool four up after 36 minutes. Chris Martin got a goal back for QPR before the break. A second goal from Andy Lyons and a strike from Kenny Dougall put the cherry on top of the cake for Pool. Blackpool remains in the bottom but this win and performance should give them a massive boost.  Southampton 2 - 1 Blackpool The Saints have done well in the EFL Cup, can they do similar in the FA Cup Southampton's Romain Perraud scored either side of half-time as his side survived a fightback by Championship strugglers Blackpool to reach the next round of the cup. Perraud broke the deadlock with a thumping effort into the far corner midway through the first half. He doubled his and Saints' tally just after the hour mark, collecting Sekou Mara's return pass before finishing confidently past visiting goalkeeper Chris Maxwell. Blackpool twice went close to cancelling out Perraud's opener but Gerry Yates and Ian Poveda both failed to make the most of good opportunities.  Blackpool claimed a Championship point thanks to Keshi Anderson's late equaliser at Swansea City. Joel Piroe's goal had looked set to give Swansea a fifth straight home win.
