Chesterfield 3 - 0 Boreham Wood Chesterfield secured the National League title and promotion to the English Football League with a comfortable win over Boreham Wood. Check out the scenes as Chesterfield were crowned champions. Footage from  Tom Pike - YouTube Jamie Grimes scored twice and Liam Mandeville scored immediately after halftime as the Spireites remain 21 points clear of nearest challengers Barnet, who defeated Dorking 6-0.  Chesterfield goalkeeper Harry Tyrer made an excellent early save from Tom Whelan's free-kick. However, the hosts took the lead in the 28th minute when captain Grimes headed home Mandeville's corner from near the penalty spot. Less than a minute into the second half, Mandeville scored to make it 2-0 after receiving a cross from Armando Dobra. FA Cup: Newport to face Man United in next round

Eastleigh  1 - 3 Newport County Newport County secured a spot in the FA Cup fourth round and a lucrative tie against Manchester United by defeating Eastleigh 3-1.  Aaron Wildig gave Newport an early lead, skillfully gliding past goalkeeper Joe McDonnell following great play from the County. Paul McCallum equalized for Eastleigh after 48 minutes with a well-placed half-volley, levelling the score against Newport. However, Newport's James Clarke regained the lead with a header on the hour mark, and the victory was sealed by Will Evans, their top scorer. The televised match in the fourth round is expected to bring significant financial rewards, around £400,000, to Newport.  They are set to face Manchester United at Rodney Parade on Sunday 28th January, showcasing their potential for causing upsets, as demonstrated by previous victories against Leicester City , Middlesbrough and a draw with Tottenham Hotspur. FA Cup: News from the 4th Qualifying Round

Let's look at some of the best moments from the fourth qualifying round of the FA Cup. Yeovil Town 2 - 0 Southend United At Huish Park, Yeovil Town defeated National League side Southend United with two superb goals. After just two minutes, Glovers took the lead through a stunning strike from Jake Wannell and despite heavy pressure from their higher division opponents during the second half, they secured their progress after Jordan Young smashed home a superb goal on 67 minutes. Southend continued to pile on the pressure after Yeovil went 2-0 up. However, the backline of the home side stood firm to keep only their third clean sheet of the season. George, a Yeovil fan from Somerset, said: "What a win, I hope we get a decent draw in the next round now." On the morning after the match, the Yeovil social media account was delighted with the result and performance. They'll be hoping for a decent match in the next round and will hope to have a good FA Cup run.  Good M

Non League: Football will return to Gigg Lane

Football will return to Gigg Lane next season for the first time since 2019. A vote to merge Bury FC and Bury AFC passed and paved the way for football to return to the iconic stadium. <More Non League news> Members of both clubs failed to reach a two-thirds majority in a previous first merger vote in October. This time over 90% of the Bury FC Supporters' Society and 97% of Bury AFC members voted to form one club to play at Gigg Lane from next season. This unified club in Bury also qualifies for local council and government levelling up funding. What league with the team play in? When Bury F C was expelled from the English Football League in 2019, some fans going formed Bury AFC. That club now plays in the Premier Division of the North West Counties League, the ninth tier of the English football pyramid and they staged their home games a few miles down the road from Gigg Lane at Stainton Park in Radcliffe. National League: Wrexham promoted back to Football League

Wrexham 3 - 1 Boreham Wood Paul Mullin was Wrexham's as they sealed the National League title and a return to the Football League in front of 10,000 jubilant fans. <Click here to find more Wrexham news and stories> Their 3-1 win over Boreham Wood sparked a mass pitch invasion, with the club's owners - Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney - tearfully hugging in the stands. Glorious scenes after the match Manager Phil Parkinson led the chanting of 'We Are Going Up' from the stands. Fans went onto the pitch with red flares at the final whistle and the rain-sodden trophy presentation had to be delayed as fans were requested to leave the field.  Wrexham 3 - 2 Notts County Wrexham took a huge step towards promotion from the National League with a thrilling win over rivals Notts County at the Racecourse Ground. John Bostock gave the visitors the lead with a fantastic freekick on the stroke of half-time before Paul Mullin swept home to restore parity just five minutes after the restart. Mullin then turned provider to tee up for Jacob Mendy to put the Reds in front before County came back again through Kyle Cameron's header. But a thrilling contest swung back into Wrexham's favour, and they got themselves out in front again when Elliot Lee slotted home in what appeared to be the winner. There was more late drama The visitors were handed a penalty deep into stoppage time. Up stepped Cedwyn Scott. Ben Foster got down to keep his low spot kick out and seal the three points in the most dramatic of circumstances. Wrexham 1 - 0 Southend United Wrexham maintained their grip at the top of the National League as they ground out a narrow victory over Southend. However, the Southend goalkeeper then fumbled a Ben Tozer cross into his own net to give Wrexham the lead. Arnold deflected Eoghan O'Connell's shot onto a post and Dan Mooney wasted a good chance for the Shrimpers when he miskicked his effort from 12 yards.  Darvel 1 - 0 Aberdeen Darvel produced probably the biggest upset in the history of the Scottish Cup as the sixth-tier outfit defeated top-flight Aberdeen. Jordan Kirkpatrick's first-half shot on the spin at Recreation Park deflected past Joe Lewis to put Darvel on course for a last-16 home tie with Falkirk. Chris Truesdale made three great close-range saves from Aberdeen forwards Ryan Duncan and Luis Lopes. However, the West of Scotland Premier Division leaders held on. What a remarkable result. Football is going on outside of Qatar Solihull Moors 2 - 1 Oldham Athletic Two goals at the start of the second half proved costly as Oldham Athletic fell to defeat at Solihull. The home side struck twice in the space of three minutes through Joe Sbarra and Andrew Dallas to pick up maximum points at Damson Park.  Wrexham 6 - 5 Dover Athletic Jordan Davies' stoppage-time goal secured a dramatic victory for Wrexham against already-relegated Dover. Paul Mullin gave Wrexham the lead and James Jones put them 2-0 ahead. However, Dover hit back through George Wilkinson before Alfie Pavey then equalised. Very few people  would have imagined what was coming next though.  Michael Gyasi's hat-trick gave Dover a 5-2 lead before Ollie Palmer pulled two goals back with Davies' double completing a remarkable comeback. During stoppage time, Davies' free-kick brought the host's level at 5-5. The winner was credited to Dan Jarvis, but it was Davies who got the final touch following a corner to finish an incredible afternoon. Wrexham are still second in the National League and are 11 points behind leaders Stockport County, while Dover remains rooted to the bottom of the table.
