It's time to explore Brentford's 2023/2024 campaign 

This was the 134th season in the history of the club and their third consecutive season in the Premier League. 

In addition to the domestic league, they also participated in the FA Cup and the EFL Cup. Brentford finished 16th in the Premier League, something that would have disappointed their fans having challenged for Europe in the previous campaign. They were also knocked out in the 3rd round of the two domestic cups.

A few months ago, YouTuber Ry's Football Paradise went on a tour of the Gtech Community Stadium. 

Some news and stories from throughout the season

In October, they were on the verge of a famous win against Manchester United.  Initially, it seemed like Manchester United might suffer their third consecutive home league defeat for the first time since 1979, all thanks to Mathias Jensen's first-half goal.

Scott McTominay delivered spectacularly for Manchester United much to the annoyance of the Brentford fans. The midfielder displayed impeccable control before slamming the ball into the net when Kristoffer Ajer mishandled a clearance inside his penalty area for the first goal.

Then, following a save from Anthony Martial's low shot by Thomas Strakosha, McTominay reacted swiftly to a Harry Maguire flick and netted the priceless second goal.

In March, they suffered another dramatic defeat. This time, the loss was against Arsenal.

One of their best performances came in April against Luton Town. Yoane Wissa netted twice as they sailed past Luton, easing their worries by surging 10 points ahead of the relegation danger.

At the time of this match, Jerry spoke about how good this performance was. He said: "That was a fantastic performance and all the players sensed how much of an important game it was. A defeat would have put us in real trouble."

Premier League: North London is red

Tottenham Hotspur 0 - 1 Arsenal Gabriel was Arsenal's North London derby day hero as he headed home the only goal to secure a third-straight victory at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium. The Brazilian defender towered over the Spurs defence on 64 minutes to divert home a Bukayo Saka corner and settle a game of few chances. You'd have to say that Arsenal enjoyed the better of throughout the contest and ultimately deserved their hard-fought victory. Southampton 0 - 3 Manchester United Matthijs de Ligt netted his first goal for Manchester United, helping Erik ten Hag's team secure a crucial Premier League victory over Southampton. The Red Devils had entered the international break on a low note, following a heavy defeat to Liverpool, and were in dire need of a strong response upon their return.
