The match began at a blistering pace, with both teams finding the net within the first 12 minutes. Bryan Mbeumo gave Brentford an early lead, only for Alexander Isak to equalise swiftly.

Yoane Wissa put Brentford back in front, capitalising on a mistake by Harvey Barnes to notch his ninth goal in eight league matches. However, Barnes redeemed himself later with a brilliant turn and finish to make it 2-2.

Early in the second half, Wissa nearly struck again for Brentford, his deflected effort pushed onto the post by Nick Pope. Moments later, Nathan Collins seized his chance, firing in with his left foot after a well-delivered free-kick.

Kevin Schade wrapped things up late on, delicately chipping the ball home to secure Brentford's remarkable home record of seven wins and a draw in their eight league games this season.

In the eighth minute, Christian Norgaard delivered a superb pass that Bryan Mbeumo expertly controlled mid-air. Mbeumo weaved past Lewis Hall, danced into the box, and unleashed a sublime left-footed strike that sailed past Nick Pope into the top corner.

The lead, however, was short-lived, lasting just three minutes and 17 seconds. Jacob Murphy slipped into the penalty area and fired a shot across goal, which landed perfectly for Alexander Isak to finish sharply and bring Newcastle level.

Isak nearly grabbed a second, but a superb recovery save from Mark Flekken denied him. Brentford then reclaimed the lead when Yoane Wissa intercepted Harvey Barnes' loose pass, curling a precise shot beyond Pope into the net.

Newcastle quickly hit back. Just three minutes and 32 seconds later, Barnes made amends for his earlier mistake, seizing on poor defending to fire a low strike past Flekken and restore parity.

Brentford refused to be deterred and edged ahead again. A long free kick from Flekken caused chaos in the Newcastle defence, allowing Nathan Collins to step up and finish with impressive composure. This time, the hosts held firm and extended their advantage in the 90th minute when substitute Kevin Schade slotted home to seal a crucial victory.

The win marked Brentford's fourth consecutive home league triumph, lifting Thomas Frank's side to seventh in the table as their thrilling season continues.

Meanwhile, Newcastle's struggles continue. Without a win in four matches, they remain stuck in 12th place after suffering their fifth league defeat, a frustrating follow-up to Wednesday's spirited draw against leaders Liverpool.
