Southampton 2 - 3 Leicester City  Russell Martin's Southampton side squandered a two-goal lead in their 3-2 defeat to Leicester City on Saturday afternoon at St Mary's. Preston North End 0 - 3 Leicester City  Two goals from Jamie Vardy helped Leicester City sealed the Championship title as the Foxes cruised to a crowning victory at Preston North End. Leicester kept the majority of possession in the game’s early stages and created the first chance of note in the 15th minute when Freddie Woodman came out to deny Vardy an opening goal. Arsenal 4 - 2 Leicester City The Gunners snatched a thrilling victory over Leicester at the Emirates Stadium with two stoppage-time goals. There was a fantastic atmosphere before the match.  An own goal from Wilfred Ndidi in the 94th minute, followed by a close-range finish from Kai Havertz deep into injury time , crushed Leicester's hopes of an unlikely point after they had clawed back from two goals down in the second half. Leicester went in at half-time 3-1 in front after goals from McAteer (18'minutes) and Ndidi (45'+3minutes) put them in a comfortable position. Backburn's dynamic display, in which they should have scored more goals, gave them a place in the last eight for the first time in eight years. Having been denied by Daniel Iversen's flying save, Tyrhys Dolan curled past Leicester's Danish goalkeeper for the opener.  Leicester City have sacked manager Brendan Rodgers following a 2-1 defeat by Crystal Palace. Rodgers was appointed in February 2019 and led the club to its first FA Cup triumph in 2021.  However, their recent form has been really poor and they now face a battle to stay in the Premier League.  In a statement on the club website , chairman Aiyawatt Srivaddhanaprabha said performances and results this season have been below expectations.
