Pressure builds on Ange Postecoglou

The Foxes, under the management of Ruud van Nistelrooy, were acutely aware that a defeat in north London would have equalled their worst-ever league run. Their concerns deepened when Richarlison, returning to Tottenham's starting lineup, headed the hosts into the lead during the first half.
However, the game took a dramatic turn in the opening moments of the second half. Just 57 seconds after the restart, Jamie Vardy brought Leicester level, showcasing his enduring prowess. Shortly thereafter, Bilal El Khannouss curled a sublime shot from just outside the penalty area, putting the visitors ahead. Leicester then displayed resilience, holding firm to leapfrog Wolverhampton Wanderers and secure 17th place in the table.
Spurs fan anger is building
The atmosphere inside the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium was tense even before Leicester's resurgence. A recent 3-2 Europa League win against Hoffenheim had done little to ease the mounting pressure on chairman Daniel Levy.
Travelling supporters in Germany had voiced their discontent, but the dissent reached new heights in north London, with home fans vocally expressing their dissatisfaction with the club's trajectory under Levy's leadership.
As Tottenham's form has deteriorated in recent weeks, the spotlight has increasingly turned to Postecoglou. Yet, it's evident that many supporters believe the club's issues are more deep-rooted. Chants critical of Levy were audible even when Spurs were ahead, escalating significantly as Leicester seized control of the match.
Premier League: 2024/2025 season
Leicester's victory was particularly striking given their recent struggles, and it casts a harsh light on both Postecoglou and the squad assembled under Levy's tenure. With Tottenham languishing in 15th place, having amassed a mere five points from the last 33 available, the pressure is mounting on both the head coach and the chairman.
Compounding the fans' frustration is the club's inactivity in the transfer market. Czech goalkeeper Kinsky remains Spurs' sole acquisition of the January window. Postecoglou has publicly called for greater urgency in securing new signings, especially following a recent defeat to Everton. With just over a week remaining before the transfer window closes, both Postecoglou and Levy find themselves in pressing need of reinforcements.

Leicester City fan reaction
Jonathan, a huge Leicester fan, told us: "I am shocked! It was a fighting performance—something we have been lacking in recent games. Getting the equalizer so early in the second half was fantastic. They can enjoy the victory, but as Ruud said, it’s back to hard work again during the week."
John Paul O'Neill, was in the away end, added: "That was a much-improved performance compared to recent weeks. We didn't overcomplicate things at the back. It's still not perfect, but there's a flicker of hope. Let's carry this momentum into the next match. Well played, everyone."
