UCL: Spurs lose in Lisbon

Sporting CP 2-0 Spurs Tottenham suffered our first defeat of the season at the Estadio Jose Alvalade on Tuesday. Two late goals gave Sporting Lisbon all three points on matchday two in the UEFA Champions League. In an even and entertaining affair, it looked like the Premier League side was going to leave the Portuguese capital with a share of the spoils having matched the hosts for the majority of the game, only to concede in the 90th minute from a Paulinho header before Arthur Gomes slotted home with virtually the last kick of the game. Both goals came from Sporting substitutes. Watford 0-0 Everton A much-changed Watford side earned a 0-0 draw against Everton. In a poor game, Chances were few and far between for both teams throughout. Samuel Kalu and Moussa Sissoko were among those most likely to break the deadlock in yellow. A point against the Toffees marks the end of an 11-game losing streak at home for Watford, who have already been relegated to the Championship. Due to several injuries, manager Roy Hodgson was forced to make several changes to the starting eleven that had lined up at Crystal Palace last time out. There has been a huge transfer announcement  Harry Kane, the England captain, has completed a move to Bayern Munich, the German champions, agreeing to a four year contract. This transfer marks the conclusion of a record-setting spell with Tottenham Hotspur. The transfer has been completed for an initial sum of around 100 million euros (£86.4 million), and there are additional provisions for performance-related bonuses.  For Spurs. he has etched his name into the record books as their leading goal scorer of all time. He has netted an impressive 280 goals in a total of 435 appearances for the club. Kane has won the Premier League Golden Boot on three occasions - in 2015-16, 2016-17 and 2020-21. With 213 goals from 320 games in the English top flight, he needed just 48 more to break Alan Shearer's Premier League scoring record.  There were 20 goals on a dramatic Sunday of Premier League football.  Let's explore what happened and examine what the impact might be come the end of the season. AFC Bournemouth 4 - 1 Leeds United Bournemouth earned a superb 4-1 win to deepen Leeds' relegation worries. A quick-fire Jefferson Lerma played a key part in lifting his side further away from relegation danger and leaving the visitors a point clear of the drop zone. Fulham 1 - 2 Manchester City Manchester City beat Fulham to return to the top of the Premier League for the first time since February as Erling Haaland scored his 50th goal of the season in all competitions. Premier League: Bournemouth boost survival chances

 Tottenham Hotspur 2 - 3 AFC Bournemouth Bournemouth took a huge step towards Premier League survival. Dango Ouattara scored a stoppage-time winner in a fantastic finish at Tottenham. Son Heung-min had earlier opened the scoring for the hosts in the first half before Uruguay left-back Matias Vina marked his first Premier League start with a deserved equaliser for Bournemouth. The Cherries looked set to clinch all three points after Dominic Solanke put them in front early in the second half, only for Arnaut Danjuma to come off the bench and equalise against his former club on 88 minutes. Fellow Spurs substitute Richarlison then sent a free header wide deep into stoppage time. The visitors went up the other end and Ouattara netted a dramatic winner. It was a huge weekend in the bid to secure Premier League football for next season. First of all. Aston Villa 2 - 0 Norwich City Norwich were relegated from the Premier League after a defeat against Aston Villa at Villa Park. Burnley scored two goals in the final seven minutes to complete a comeback that pulled them five points clear of the Premier League relegation zone. It also left hosts Watford on the brink of the drop. Jack Cork's header from Charlie Taylor's left-wing cross cancelled out James Tarkowski's early own goal. Josh Brownhill equalised after he found the bottom corner from the edge of the box to spark jubilant scenes among the travelling fans and in the away dugout at Vicarage Road.  Tottenham Hotspur 2 - 0  Chelsea Tottenham boosted their hopes of a top-four Premier League finish with a London derby win over Chelsea. This increased the pressure on Graham Potter. Oliver Skipp's 20-yard effort just after the interval put the hosts in command. The victory was sealed when Harry Kane turned home Eric Dier's knock-down late on. Premier League: Everton safe after dramatic night

Everton 3 - 2 Crystal Palace Everton secured their Premier League status after coming back from two goals down to beat Crystal Palace. Before the match, Everton fans had created a remarkable atmosphere. This carried on into the stadium. Initially, the hosts looked like they were heading for a potentially damaging defeat after the away side scored twice in the first half through Jean-Philippe Mateta and Jordan Ayew. Everton turned the game around in the second half, thanks to a more attacking approach. Nine minutes after the break Michael Keane smashed in to give Frank Lampard's side hope. When Richarlison found the bottom corner with a deflected shot with 15 minutes left, it sent Goodison Park into raptures as a precious point looked likely. The best was to come with five minutes left. Dominic Calvert-Lewin,  sparked pandemonium with a diving header from Demarai Gray's free-kick. Manchester United 2 - 2 Tottenham Hotspur Spurs came back from behind twice in a pulsating Premier League encounter to deny Manchester United what would have been a very important victory.  Rasmus Hojlund drove United into a third-minute lead. Richarlison then levelled with his sixth goal in as many Premier League games for the visitors. Tottenham were without three players, including captain Son Heung-min - who is away with South Korea at the Asian Cup. Marcus Rashford took the lead for the home team before halftime , but Rodrigo Bentancur nullified the advantage a minute into the second half with a powerful shot. Tottenham Hotspur 4 - 1 Aston Villa Dominic Solanke bagged a brace as Tottenham staged a comeback to beat Aston Villa in the Premier League.
