Premier League: West Ham hold Liverpool to a draw

West Ham United 2 - 2 Liverpool  Liverpool's title hopes were dented again after Michail Antonio scored to rescue a point for West Ham at the London Stadium. Jarrod Bowen opened the scoring just before the break when he rose highest to meet Mohammed Kudus' cross. Klopp's side were much improved in the second half and Andy Robertson equalised when he scored from Luis Diaz's low pass into the penalty area. Liverpool were then rewarded again for their pressure when Cody Gakpo's effort from a corner deflected off Angelo Ogbonna, Tomas Soucek and Alphonse Areola before finding the back of the net.  West Ham United 0 - 0 Brighton & Hove Albion This match marked the first occasion in 24 league matches that Brighton didn't concede a goal, putting an end to a record-setting streak for the club. For West Ham, they would have been hoping to build on their wins over Manchester United and Arsenal but will ultimately be delighted with their points return over the Christmas and New Year period.  Brighton enjoyed more possession and created better chances in what was largely a dull game to kick off 2024 for both teams at London Stadium . The first half lacked quality and opportunities, with West Ham coming closest to scoring as Jason Steele saved James Ward-Prowse's powerful volley with his legs. Premier League: West Ham United 1-2 Brentford

Brentford manager Thomas Frank says his team's injury-time win at West Ham was a "massive" result for the club. Yoane Wissa scored an injury time winner as Brentford moved up to seventh in the table with a dramatic victory against West Ham United. Let's have a look at the best reaction The Brentford manager spoke with the media after the match and believes that his time can do even better: "If we can do that every week, it would be nice. Fantastic feeling away from home, a solid performance. In the second half, West Ham were better." David Moyes added:"It was a blow, we didn’t deserve that. I think Brentford will make it hard for lots of teams. In the second half, we dominated and in the first half, we missed opportunities." What stat? Should West Ham be concerned about some of their recent form and results? They have now lost four of their past seven home league matches (won two, drawn one), as many as they lost in their previous twenty matches

Premier League: Pressure increases at Everton

Kurt Zouma, back from injury and impressing alongside Nayef Aguerd and Angelo Ogbonna at the back, wanted it more than James Tarkowski and Conor Coady. It was easy for Zouma to flick the ball on and there was too much space for Bowen, who rushed in to guide a simple finish over Pickford.
