All the latest reaction

Harry, a City fan, told us: "What a fantastic player he is. Fast, competitive, combative, strong in the air, impressive in possession of the ball, self-assured, and a good character. He is left-footed, too, which gives us good options at the back."

Mark, another City fan told us: "'He is still young but his overall progress in the game has been rapid. Everyone at the club must feel confident that his upward trajectory will continue here City working with the manager and all the staff."

Darren, added: "It will be difficult to follow up their near-perfect campaign last season, in which we achieved a historic Treble that included our first Champions League crown. I can't wait for the new season even if I think that overall, our squad is weaker than last season."

Darias, an RB Leipzig fan, told us: "I am very sad that he is leaving us. The player is very special and will be a great addition to the Premier League."

The man himself told the club website: "I have always dreamed of one day playing in England and to be doing so now with Manchester City – after the season they have just had – is a real honour for me. To be joining City is something very special for me and my family."
