Transfer Rumours: Manchester United linked with Dani Olmo

 Another day. Another Manchester United transfer rumour.

The Red Devils have entered the race for RB Leipzig star Dani Olmo, who has a £52m release clause this summer.

Manchester United and Real Madrid are reportedly among the clubs maintaining a watching brief on Dani Olmo this summer.

The Spanish international is excelling for Red Bull Leipzig, and he has a clause that becomes active this summer when he can leave for £52million.

Olmo recently starred for Spain against Brazil, where he was utilised in the number ten position where he scored a superb individual goal. He dribbled through Brazil's defence before finishing with a curling left-foot shot to give Spain a 2-0 lead in a 3-3 draw at the home of Real Madrid. 

United are assessing targets across Europe for attacking and creative options, and Olmo may be of interest depending on their budget and departures in the summer.

The Red Devils are also in the market for a forward, centre-back and full-back this summer plus a central midfielder. 

Matt, a Manchester United fan living in Germany, said: "I think Olmo would be a fantastic signing for United. He can play in more than one position and United will need to strengthen if we qualify for the Champions League again."

Liam, another Manchester United fan, added: "Together with Joao Gomes this would be huge improvements for Manchester United. We have really suffered with injuries this season so we need several players."

There will be competition from Real Madrid. 

Real Madrid are expected to sign Kylian Mbappe this summer and will welcome the arrival of Brazilian in Kendrick in July. They may also have to bring forward a bid for Bayern Munich's Alphonso Davies that would eat into finances. However, president Florentino Perez remains open to adding Spain's best players to his glittering squad if it becomes financially viable.

Manchester City, Chelsea and Tottenham are also among the clubs who continue to keep an eye on Olmo's progress, particularly with his ability to play in more than one position.

Dani Olmo has played 101 matches throughout his Bundesliga career. Of these, he has helped Leipzig win 57. He has also scored 16 league goals and 12 in other competitions.

FA Cup: United win on penalties

 Manchester United 3 - 3 Coventry City Manchester United won 4-2 on penalties  United somehow progressed to the FA Cup final for the second successive season, following a dramatic semi-final victory over Coventry City. The Reds edged past the Sky Blues on penalties after a crazy and eventful 120 minutes to set up a rematch of last year's final, against Manchester City. Following goals from Scott McTominay, Harry Maguire and Bruno Fernandes, United appeared to be in total and complete control. Despite having a few chances, it did look like this was one match too far for Coventry. However, goals Ellis Simms and O'Hare reduced the deficit and made things very nervy for Ten Hag's side. Then in stoppage time, Haji Wright kept his nerve in stoppage time to score from the spot and send the game into extra time. Premier League: Another strange performance from Manchester United

Manchester United 1 - 1 Burnley Zeki Amdouni scored a late penalty to grab what could he a priceless point for relegation-threatened Burnley in the Premier League at Old Trafford. Despite another unconvincing display from Manchester United, they did look well set for victory thanks to Antony's well-taken 79th-minute effort. Then Burnley got a penalty  Although the referee John Brooks managed to miss the foul in real time, unlike against Wolves the video assistant referee, Peter Bankes, stepped in. Substitute Amdouni managed to send the keeper the wrong way and earn Burnley this point  This result moved Burnley to within two points of fourth-bottom Nottingham Forest, whom they play at Turf Moor on the final day of the season.  There could still be a dramatic fight for survival with Burnley, Luton and Forest all scrambling to avoid relegation to the Championship.  You can watch the highlights of the match in the video below.
