The player is clearly delighted with the news: "“I think I cannot describe the feeling. So much has happened in the last few weeks and I am happy to be here.”

Ken, a Manchester United fan from Glossop who has been going since 1970, told us: "The first of many hopefully. We need a few more players if we're going to compete next season."

Fulham agree £10m fee for Andreas Pereira:

This story is still ongoing. A BBC Sport story states: "Premier League newcomers Fulham have agreed a £10m deal - including add-ons - for Manchester United and Brazil midfielder Andreas Pereira.

Pereira, 26, spent last season on loan at Flamengo and is set to sign a three-year deal with the Cottagers.

One United fan told us: "This is a great move for everyone involved."

Kalvin Phillips signs for Manchester City

Phillips told the Man City website: “I am absolutely delighted to have joined Manchester City, City have again proved to the best team in the country with an amazing squad and a manager in Pep Guardiola who is rightly considered to be the finest in the world. 

“To be able to play under Pep and learn from him and his coaching staff as well as be part of a such a fantastic squad is a prospect that I am incredibly excited about. 

“City are a world-class Club with world-class staff and facilities and it’s a dream come true to have joined the club."

A Manchester City member added on his Facebook: "We're building a great squad that should allow us to compete for all the trophies again!"

Barcelona sign defender on free transfer

Barcelona have completed the signing of Andreas Christensen on a free transfer from Chelsea. Christensen, 26, left Chelsea upon the end of his contract at the end of the 2021-22 campaign.

The centre-back has penned a four-year deal at Barcelona, having spent the past decade in west London.

He left Chelsea having made 161 appearances for the club, as well as winning the Champions League and Europa League.
