Tranmere Rovers 1 - 3 Stockport County
Stockport sealed their place in the second round of the FA Cup with a win over Tranmere Rovers. Second-half goals from Jack Diamond, Oliver Norwood and Nathan Lowe saw Dave Challinor’s side progress to Monday night’s draw, with Omari Patrick scoring Rovers’ only reply.
Wigan Athletic 1 - 1 Hemel Hempstead (Wigan won 5-3 on penalties)
Wigan Athletic survived a major scare against National League South side Hemel Hempstead Town before scraping through to the FA Cup second round on penalties.
Salford City 1 - 1 Lincoln City (Salford won 4-2 on penalties)
Daniel Udoh held his nerve to convert the winning penalty as Salford City edged past Lincoln City in a shoot-out to reach the second round of the FA Cup.
Chelmsford City 4 - 1 Braintree Town
Chelmsford City claimed the sweetest of revenge against their Essex rivals Braintree, securing a place in the second round of the FA Cup for the first time since 2012.
Luton Town 4 - 3 Forest Green
League One side Luton Town were given a major scare before edging past National League outfit Forest Green Rovers in a thrilling FA Cup first-round encounter. Gideon Kodua came off the bench to seal victory in stoppage time, moments after the visitors had staged a remarkable fightback from three goals down to draw level.
Fourth Qualifying Round Replay
Hartlepool United 1 - 3 Gainsborough Trinity
Nicky Featherstone’s first match as interim manager ended in a defeat at the Prestige Group Stadium as Hartlepool were eliminated from the FA Cup by seventh-tier Gainsborough Trinity.
Harborough Town 0 - 3 Altrincham F.C
Altrincham booked their place in the FA Cup First Round with a win over Harborough Town, eventually breaking down the resistance of the Southern League Premier Central leaders.
Fourth Qualifying Round
Gainsborough Trinity 1 - 1 Hartlepool United
Seventh-tier Gainsborough Trinity will have to try again if they are to reach the First Round Proper of the FA Cup for a second successive season.
A spectacular late equaliser from Nathan Ferguson denied the hosts a memorable victory, his 30-yard strike thundering off the underside of the bar before rebounding off goalkeeper David Robson and creeping over the line. For long spells, Trinity looked the more threatening side despite facing opponents from two divisions above.
First Qualifying Round Replay
Ashton United 2 - 0 Hallam FC
An early breakthrough and a late strike were enough for Ashton United to overcome Hallam FC and book their place in the second qualifying round of the FA Cup, where they will host Scarborough Athletic.
Nantwich Town 2 - 0 Avro
It was heartbreak for Avro as Nantwich scored two late goals to secure the win and head into the next round of the FA Cup Qualifiers.
Hanwell Town 1 - 0 Cray Wanderers
Cray Wanderers’ FA Cup run was cut short as Hanwell Town progressed to the second qualifying round, substitute Kameron English striking two minutes into added time to settle a tight and entertaining contest.
First Qualifying Round
Atherton LR 5 - 2 Atherton Colleries
Atherton LR claimed bragging rights in the Flat Cap derby with a dominant display against Colls to book their place in the next round of the FA Cup.
Goals from Owen Green, Harvey Sample, Elvis Amokwa, Joe Bacon and Kieran Alley secured victory for the hosts in front of a large crowd at Crilly Park. Chinedu Uche and Tom Bentham were on the scoresheet for Colls, but their efforts were not enough to prevent a frustrating exit from the competition.
Preliminary Round Replay
Bury FC 0 - 2 Stalybridge Celtic
Bury suffered their first home defeat in more than a year as they exited the FA Cup, beaten 2-0 by Stalybridge Celtic in a Preliminary Round replay.
