Daniel Muñoz set Palace on their way with a looping header from Yeremy Pino’s back-post cross, marking a historic first goal in the group stage of European competition for the club. Eddie Nketiah, introduced from the bench, added a second just before the hour. The forward finished sharply from close range after a fine piece of skill and precise delivery by Pino on the left.

A nervy victory over UNA Strassen in Conference League qualifying sealed Dundee  United's progression in Europe for the first time in 28 years.

Shamrock Rovers all but booked their place in the next round of the UEFA Conference League with a dominant first-leg victory over St Joseph’s in Gibraltar. 

A polished attacking display saw the League of Ireland champions dismantle their opponents, with three second-half goals in quick succession effectively ending the tie as a contest
