Wales produced a stirring fightback in Brussels, recovering from three goals down to draw level with Belgium, only for Kevin De Bruyne to strike late and hand Craig Bellamy his first defeat as manager

Norway 3 - 0 Italy

Italy’s 2026 World Cup qualifying campaign began in dismal fashion as they were swept aside 3-0 by a vibrant Norway in Oslo, all three goals coming before half-time in a chastening opening to Group I.

Andorra 0 - 1 England

Harry Kane’s close-range finish was enough to hand England a narrow 1-0 win over Andorra and extend their unbeaten start to 2026 World Cup qualifying.

Finland 0 - 2 Netherlands

First-half goals from Memphis Depay and Denzel Dumfries were enough to give the Dutch tbree points in Helsinki. A promising start to their qualifying campaign.

It's only a post season friendly that nobody will remember in three months.  Author | Kieran M Stadium | The City Ground England fell to their first defeat under Thomas Tuchel as Senegal claimed a thoroughly deserved win in a low-key friendly at the City Ground. It wasn't a good performance from Tuchel’s team, who were outplayed by confident and composed opponents. Senegal became the first African nation to beat England’s men, and did so with an assured display.  For Tuchel though, it did give him an opportunity to see a different group of players together.
