Middlesbrough 1 - 0 Swansea City
Rob Edwards began his Middlesbrough tenure with victory as a rare Dael Fry goal proved enough to edge past Swansea City. It was just the third goal of Fry’s senior career in more than 270 appearances.

Can Wrexham make history again?
For the first time in 43 years, Wrexham will play in the Championship. They are preparing for life in the second tier of English football for the first time since 1982.
This is is a moment few could have imagined in 2023, when the club were still in the National League and promotion seemed like a distant dream.
The club's rise has been remarkable. After winning the National League with a record 111 points in 2022–23. They went on to finish second in both League Two and League One in successive seasons. No club in the history of English football has ever achieved three consecutive promotions. It is a rare achievement that may not be repeated for some time.

Southampton looking to bounce back to the Premier League
Despite their struggles in the Premier League last season, you would have to argue that the core of this squad remains strong enough to mount a serious Championship challenge. What Still adds to that mix will be fascinating to watch.
One Saints fan told us: "Looking at the squad, young forward Jay Robinson has impressed in pre-season after making his debut last term. He will compete with Flynn Downes, Cameron Archer and Ben Brereton Díaz for selection. We have a good squad and most fans are confident of at least reaching the play-offs."
