Rashford opened the scoring before Ferran Torres added a second with an accomplished finish as Hansi Flick's side eased to victory in El Clasico at the Nou Camp.

Both goalscorers ran to embrace their head coach in an emotional moment following the death of Flick's father at the weekend.

Barcelona remain seven titles behind record champions Real Madrid, but they have now secured back-to-back Spanish league crowns.

What contributed to a memorable achievement for Barca

An 11-match winning streak in La Liga has carried them clear at the top, with a 14-point advantage now beyond the reach of their closest challengers.

Their dominance at home has been central to the triumph, with this latest success marking an 18th win from 18 league games in front of their own supporters.

On-loan Manchester United forward Marcus Rashford made the breakthrough early on, curling a free-kick into the top corner beyond Thibaut Courtois, whose slight touch was not enough to keep the effort out.

Barcelona doubled their lead in the 18th minute through a flowing move, with Dani Olmo producing a deft flick to release Torres, who finished clinically.

Aurelien Tchouameni started for Real only days after reportedly being involved in a training-ground altercation with team-mate Federico Valverde, who missed the game after suffering concussion symptoms.

Under-pressure Real manager Alvaro Arbeloa struggled to inspire a response, with Gonzalo Garcia failing to take one of the visitors' few openings in the first half.

Rashford nearly added a second after the interval but was denied by another sharp stop from Courtois.

Vinicius Junior threatened for Real in the second half, though goalkeeper Joan Garcia reacted quickly to smother the danger.

As the final minutes ticked away, chants of "Championes, Championes" echoed around the revamped Nou Camp while Robert Lewandowski came close to adding a late third to complete the celebrations.
