Elsewhere in the Championship on the 7th and 8th December
Let's explore a couple more match reports from another dramatic weekend in English football's 2nd tier.
QPR 3 - 0 Norwich City
Teenager Rayan Kolli stole the spotlight with his first senior goals as Queens Park Rangers ended their long wait for a home victory, defeating Norwich City at Loftus Road.
The Algeria Under-20 international, who made his debut against Norwich in last season's EFL Cup, was introduced early as a 13th-minute substitute for the injured Zan Celar.
QPR took the lead when defender Jimmy Dunne punished some dismal defending, and Kolli made it 2-0 with a well-taken header deep into first-half stoppage time.

Norwich, struggling to make an impact in challenging conditions, offered little threat. Kolli then sealed the win in the second half, capitalising on more defensive uncertainty to score his second and Rangers’ third of the game.
It was a Saturday to remember for Kolli and a much-needed boost for QPR, whose last home win came all the way back in April.
West Brom 2 - 2 Sheffield United

West Bromwich Albion’s reputation as draw specialists continued as they shared the points for an incredible 10th time in 11 matches, holding Sheffield United to a 2-2 stalemate at The Hawthorns.
As a result, the Blades reclaimed their spot at the top of the Championship table, nudging Leeds United back into second.
On a rain-soaked afternoon in the Black Country, the Baggies struck first with an early header from Torbjorn Heggem. However, their lead was short-lived as Sheffield United hit back with a quickfire double, courtesy of Callum O’Hare and Tyrese Campbell, in just two minutes.

Unlike many of Albion’s previous home draws—six in their first eight games—this encounter was a spirited affair that defied the grimly cold and wet conditions. The hosts earned their equaliser in the 62nd minute through a slice of fortune, as Tom Fellows’ cross took a dramatic deflection to find the net.
Remarkably, Albion have now drawn with all of the top four, including goalless stalemates at home against Leeds United and Burnley, as well as on the road at Sunderland.
However, after leading the table back in mid-September, Carlos Corberán’s side has seen their form collapse, managing just one win in 13 games. They now trail Sheffield United by a significant 10 points.
