The transfer rumours are already flying in from across all angles.

Transfer Rumours latest

Let's explore some of the latest rumours from Europe's biggest clubs and also get some immediate reaction.

It could be a busy summer at Old Trafford

It has been reported across several media outlets that Manchester United have not given up on their attempts to land Everton star Jarrad Branthwaite. This is despite the new-look Old Trafford hierarchy deciding they will not entertain paying up to £80million when the transfer window reopens in the coming weeks. Additional rumours also say that the club have decided that the maximum they are willing to fork out for Branthwaite's signature is £55million.

Manchester United and Barcelona are reportedly vying for the signature of England international Ollie Watkins from Aston Villa. Watkins has had an outstanding season under the management of Unai Emery, becoming a key player for the team. Watkins' performances have reached new heights in recent seasons. He has scored 27 goals and provided 13 assists in 52 appearances across all competitions this season. These contributions have played a significant role in helping Aston Villa secure a spot in the Champions League for the upcoming season.

Despite this, there has been reports that Watkins could leave Aston Villa before the next season begins. The competition for his signature is expected to come from England and Spain.

Could Bruno Fernandes be on the move? A report from The Independent and other media outlets have said this week that Bayern Munich are interested in the 29-year-old and are confident of getting the Portuguese star ahead of the 2024/25 campaign. However, Man United believe their captain is untouchable, while the midfielder’s priority would be to stay at Old Trafford next season.

What's happening with other clubs?

Milan and Arsenal are interested in Joshua Zirkzee. AC Milan have recently identified Zirkzee as the primary target of the next signing campaign, now there are no more doubts. Moncada, Ibrahimovic and D'Ottavio have been working for weeks for Bologna's Dutch striker. Milan face competition for his signature from Arsenal.

Newcastle United are still pushing ahead with a deal to sign Arsenal goalkeeper Aaron Ramsdale in the first move of what promises to be a busy summer at St James’ Park. Ramsdale has fallen down the pecking order at the Emirates Stadium since they signed David Raya last summer. Where does Ramsdale want to start next season? You'd wonder what this tweet was in response to.
