Liverpool 0 - 1 Nottingham Forest Callum Hudson-Odoi and an unbeaten Nottingham Forest shocked Liverpool at Anfield, putting an end to Arne Slot's flawless start as Liverpool manager. Coming off the bench, Hudson-Odoi cut in from the left and curled a perfectly placed shot into the far bottom corner, leaving Alisson with no chance. This marked Forest's first win at Anfield in any competition since 1969. Liverpool had come into the game brimming with confidence, having secured three consecutive wins without conceding a goal. Sheffield United 1 - 3 Nottingham Forest Nottingham Forest took a big step towards Premier League survival by beating already-relegated Sheffield United at Bramall Lane.  Callum Hudson-Odoi scored two goals and Ryan Yates added another to secure a vital three points for Forest.  Ben Brereton Diaz's penalty put the home side ahead in the first half before Hudson-Odoi's superb curling effort brought Forest level midway through the game. The Blades then responded well, but missed a host of first-half chances and were punished when Ryan Yates put the visitors ahead with a thumping effort six minutes after the break.  Nottingham Forest finished the 2023/2024 season in 17th position. Let's explore their campaign. They successfully avoided relegation to the Championship. This was the 158th season in their history and the second consecutive season in the Premier League. The club also competed in the FA Cup and the EFL Cup. On 15 January 2024, the Premier League charged Nottingham Forest with breaching the league's profit and sustainability rules. By 18 March, Forest were found guilty and handed a four-point deduction. The club appealed the decision on 26 March, but on 7 May, it was announced that their appeal had failed, and the four-point deduction was upheld. His initial header was cleared off the line by Yukinari Sugawara, but the Forest captain quickly reacted to slot home the rebound in the 70th minute. Forest had a chance to go ahead earlier in the match, but debutant Nikola Milenkovic narrowly missed from four yards out, misjudging his shot. Cameron Archer nearly equalised on his home debut for the Saints, but he couldn’t quite connect with Charlie Taylor’s cross, which flashed across the face of the goal.
