This time over 90% of the Bury FC Supporters' Society and 97% of Bury AFC members voted to form one club to play at Gigg Lane from next season. FA Cup: Heartbreak for Bury FC

Image
Harborough Town 1 - 0 Bury FC Author - Thomas J It was heartbreak for fans of Bury in the 4th Qualifying Round of the FA Cup. Many of their fans will be glad to just have a team to support now after all their problems.  It was reported that 600 away fans travelled down from Bury. They travelled with their tinfoil FA Cup trophies, There was a flag of sheer defiance that stated: "Shook by anger, we shed many tears, they tried to destroy us, we are still here." These fans travelled to Harborough full of hope as they remained unbeaten in the North West Counties and believed they could reach the FA Cup proper for the first time since their expulsion from the EFL in 2019. Those have been a long five years. The first two empty as the pandemic stalled the launch of the phoenix club Bury AFC. However, their return to Gigg Lane last season was a sign that happy times were returning. Even if it might take a few years for the club to return to the English Football League. FA Cup: 202

The best January transfers

This article will explore the best signings in the January Transfer Window. Is it a good time to sign players or not? Seamus Coleman There will be players on this list with a higher profile but very few that work out at better value for money than Coleman. Everton signed him from the Irish side Sligo Rovers in 2009. He has eclipsed 350 first-team appearances for the Merseysiders and has captained the team in recent times. The player has been an excellent servant for the Blues and has shown there is no shortage of talent across the top flight in Ireland. Patrice Evra In December 2005, French sources revealed that Manchester United was interested in signing Evra. Despite rumours that Monaco had reached a transfer agreement with Internazionale. Fans voices: Why do we love football?

A Manchester United tells us of his emotional connection to the club and why he is so frustrated with the current situation. This is the first article of our Fans Voice series. If you want to get involved, please message us on Twitter and we'll respond as soon as possible. My first United game was the last watched by the old Stretford End. We beat Tottenham 3-1 and was mesmerised by the sights and sounds. In the previous weeks, we had thrown away a lead at the top of old First Division and lost the title to Leeds United. My dad knew this would be my first game and thought it would be a title party, sadly he was mistaken. We only had to wait another year to finally clinch the title and we were both there as we celebrated winning the first-ever Premier League. I was slightly older so was able to appreciate things a bit more. Little did my and my dad know though but football was about to change forever. Domination but at what cost? Over the next six years, United would win everyth

Euro 2024: England group winners but questions remain

Image
England 0 - 0 Slovenia England secured a spot in the Euro 2024 last 16 as the top team in Group C. Gareth Southgate's squad showed some improvement compared to their dismal performance against Denmark, yet it still fell short of justifying their status as pre-tournament favourites. Their play was laboured, with only occasional flashes of quality, notably in the first half when a smooth passing sequence led to Bukayo Saka's goal. This was disallowed for offside. Conor Gallagher's inclusion failed to make an impact, resulting in his replacement at half-time. The introduction of Manchester United teenager Kobbie Mainoo brought more urgency after the break. England struggled with creativity in a group where no team scored more than one goal in any game, marking a first in the competition's history. Denmark's 0-0 draw with Serbia saw them finish second, while Slovenia qualified as one of the best third-placed teams. There was good news for England elsewhere, as resu
