The England captain, now 32, has 102 goals in 105 appearances for Bayern since joining from Tottenham for £86.4m in August 2023. This season alone he has 17 in nine club games, including 11 in his last five, alongside a goal for his country in their 5-0 win over Serbia earlier this month.
For Pafos, it was a historic night as they hosted their first Champions League group match, but their hopes were quickly undone. Kane opened the scoring after 15 minutes with a first-time finish from Michael Olise’s pass. Raphael Guerreiro added a second soon after, before Nicolas Jackson claimed his first Bayern goal since arriving on loan from Chelsea, again thanks to Olise’s creativity.
Kane struck again on 34 minutes to make it 4-0, though Mislav Orsic briefly lifted the home crowd with a fine 20-yard curler before the break. Any thoughts of a comeback faded when Olise capped an excellent display by driving in Bayern’s fifth midway through the second half.

Bayern almost added further gloss in stoppage time as Serge Gnabry and Jackson both hit the woodwork in quick succession.
The German champions, who lead the Bundesliga by two points, have now won all nine of their games this season, scoring 35 goals. Their perfect start extends to Europe, where they have two wins from two in the group stage.
More praise for the England captain
Eric watched the match as a neutral and posted the following on his Bluesky account: “Harry Kane’s record speaks for itself with prolific returns in the Champions League, Premier League, World Cup and for England. Despite achieving those numbers often in average Tottenham teams and under a cautious England setup. The criticism he gets from some people is bizarre.”
Peter posted this on his Facebook: “Kane is a supreme goalscorer. If it’s so easy, why can’t others do it? He’s a world-class striker, a brilliant reader of the game, and a real class act.”
Aaron added: “Kane is such a good striker. It’s a shame his work rate and effort often go unnoticed because he was excellent for Spurs, and he’s doing splendidly at Bayern. I just hope he wins more trophies there because his quality deserves far more recognition than his medal collection shows.”
