The Slovenia international has committed to a five-year contract, with a guaranteed fee of £66.3 million and additional payments based on performance.
Sesko is the club’s third significant attacking acquisition this summer, following the arrivals of Matheus Cunha for £62.5 million and Bryan Mbeumo for £65 million, with £6 million in add-ons. The trio were introduced to supporters ahead of Saturday’s pre-season home fixture against Fiorentina.
The 22-year-old was also pursued by Newcastle United but opted to join the team managed by Ruben Amorim.
United concluded last season in 15th place in the Premier League, while Newcastle finished fifth, securing Champions League qualification and lifting the EFL Cup in a campaign of contrasts.
What will Sesko bring to Old Trafford?

Sesko has spent the last two seasons in Germany with Leipzig, arriving from their sister club Salzburg in 2023.
He scored 39 goals in 87 appearances across all competitions, contributing eight assists. Of those goals, 27 came in 64 Bundesliga matches.
He is currently the top goalscorer under the age of 23 in Europe’s top five leagues, across all competitions.
Sesko leads ahead of Real Madrid’s Jude Bellingham by one goal and is five clear of Florian Wirtz, who moved to Liverpool from Bayer Leverkusen this summer for an initial £100 million.

Known for his pace, Sesko was among the fastest strikers in the Bundesliga, reaching speeds up to 35.7 km/h. Standing 6ft 5in tall, he also boasts the highest aerial success rate among strikers, winning 57.4 per cent of his aerial duels.
Despite ranking 16th for expected goals, 14th for shots and 22nd for touches in the opposition box over the past two seasons, only six forwards have scored more Bundesliga goals than him.
Sesko is also dangerous from distance, with 36.8 per cent of his shots and 23.1 per cent of his goals coming from outside the penalty area. Both figures were higher than any Bundesliga striker scoring 12 or more goals last season.
In the most recent campaign, he developed into a more versatile player. While 9.7 per cent of his touches occurred in the opposition box, down from 17 per cent the season before, he increased his involvement across both wings and deeper into midfield.
