The match was overshadowed by a serious injury to Jamal Musiala and two red cards for the French champions.
Desire Doue, the hero of PSG's Champions League final triumph over Inter Milan, broke the deadlock in the 78th minute with a crisp left-footed finish into the bottom corner.
Despite being reduced to nine men following dismissals for Willian Pacho and Lucas Hernandez, PSG doubled their lead in stoppage time as Ousmane Dembele struck to seal victory and set up a meeting with Real Madrid, who edged past Borussia Dortmund 3-2 in New Jersey.
The first half in Atlanta had been entertaining but goalless, and ended in worrying scenes for Bayern as Musiala, making his first start of the tournament after injury, suffered what appeared to be a nasty ankle problem. The Germany international was caught by PSG goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnarumma while chasing a loose pass from Michael Olise near the byline. Musiala was left clutching his left ankle as Bayern’s medical staff rushed on, while a visibly shaken Donnarumma turned away in distress.
Earlier, Bayern thought they had taken the lead when Dayot Upamecano headed home, only for the effort to be ruled out for offside. At the other end, Manuel Neuer produced a fine save to deny Bradley Barcola shortly after the break.

PSG’s night became more complicated four minutes after Doue’s opener when Pacho was shown a straight red card for a high challenge on Leon Goretzka. Hernandez followed him down the tunnel deep into added time for catching Raphael Guerreiro with an elbow.
Bayern also had their moments. England captain Harry Kane saw a goal chalked off for offside, and a late penalty decision initially given against PSG defender Nuno Mendes for a high challenge on Thomas Muller was overturned by referee Anthony Taylor following a VAR review.
End of an era for a legend
The defeat marked the end of an era for Bayern as Muller, who replaced Kingsley Coman with ten minutes remaining, made his final appearance for the club after a glittering 17-year spell with the German giants.
