Andy Robertson to Atlético Madrid?
Is another title-winning full back about to move to Spain?

Atlético Madrid have expressed an interest in signing Andy Robertson, as Liverpool prepare to make a move for Bournemouth’s Milos Kerkez to become their first-choice left-back.
Robertson said last week that he had not given much thought to his future, instead focusing on enjoying a well-earned break after another long campaign, one that ended with his second Premier League title.
However, with the transfer window set to open in the coming days, uncertainty surrounds the Scotland captain’s future at Anfield for the first time in eight years.
Kerkez is expected to be Arne Slot’s preferred option at left-back, with a fee of around £45m to £50m likely to be required to prise him from Bournemouth. Liverpool are eager to keep hold of Robertson and would prefer to let current understudy Kostas Tsimikas depart.

But there is an understanding at the club that the 31-year-old may seek a move elsewhere in order to secure more regular football.
Is it time for Robertson to move on?
He has enjoyed a highly successful period at Merseyside since joining from Hull City in 2017 and has one year remaining on his contract.
The 31-year-old defender has achieved remarkable success, adding a second league title last season as Arne Slot’s team comfortably secured the Premier League championship. Robertson played a significant role in this achievement, starting 33 out of 38 matches.
Although some fans may be ready to see him move on, he is determined to fight for his place on the team.

Cesar Azpilicueta and fellow left-back Reinildo Mandava are out of contract, prompting Atletico head coach Diego Simeone to search for replacements.
Simeone has gained a reputation for his intense, aggressive style of play during his 14 years at the club, winning two La Liga titles and reaching two Champions League finals. Although he has made attempts to reinvent his approach, prioritizing defensive solidity remains crucial, they finished with the second-best defensive record in La Liga last season.
Andrew Robertson, known for his assists during Jurgen Klopp's successful tenure, demonstrates his talent in both areas of the pitch. He also has leadership skills and qualities that Simeone would likely appreciate. This opportunity to work under Simeone may be an attractive prospect for Robertson.
