Chelsea beat Wolves to end five-game winless run
Chelsea 3 - 1 Wolves
Chelsea ended their five-match winless streak in the Premier League with an impressive second-half performance against Wolves, securing a much-needed victory that lifted them into the top four.

After Tosin Adarabioyoās opener was cancelled out by Matt Doherty, quickfire goals in the second half from Marc Cucurella and Noni Madueke ensured the hosts took all three points at Stamford Bridge.
Cucurella, making his 100th Premier League appearance, found the net from close range after Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall flicked on Maduekeās cross. Moments later, Madueke doubled Chelseaās lead, heading in from a corner after Trevoh Chalobahāback in action following his loan spell at Crystal Palaceārose highest to nod the ball into his path.
The goals came as a relief for Chelsea, particularly goalkeeper Robert SĆ”nchez, who was at fault for Wolvesā equaliser just before half-time. Spotting SĆ”nchez off his line, Matheus Cunha whipped in a teasing delivery that the Spanish keeper tried to claim instead of punching clear, only to see Doherty pounce and score.

That mistake marked SĆ”nchezās fourth error leading to a goal this seasonāonly Ipswichās Arijanet Muric has made more, with five. With Chelsea managing just one home clean sheet this campaign, questions over SĆ”nchezās selection are likely to persist.
Tosinās opener, initially ruled out for offside, was awarded following a VAR check. The defender reacted quickest after Reece Jamesā deflected shot fell into his path from a corner.
Chelseaās win moves them two points clear of Manchester City and Newcastle United in fourth place. Wolves, on the other hand, remain 17th, teetering just above the relegation zone on goal difference after conceding a league-high 51 goals this season.

The best reaction
Lewis W, a Chelsea fan, told European Super Football after the match: "We performed well until the first goal, but then we allowed Wolves to equalize just before half-time. In the second half, however, we improved significantly by scoring two goals within five minutes. It was great to see Chalobah starting for us again; he put in an excellent performance and didn't make any mistakes. It was also encouraging to see Tyrique George come on as a substitute."
Peter Waterman, another Chelsea fan, also gave his thoughts on the match. He said: "That was an OK performance that moves us closer to qualifying for the Champions League. There's still a lot to improve on but we're in a much better position than we were last season."
Peter, a Wolves fan, also gave his thoughts: "Awful defending yet again. Couldn't believe it when we levelled but normal service resumed after the break. The board needs to wake up and sign a defender and a striker or we will be in the Championship team next season."
