France manager wants to create more history

Should Didier Deschamps lead France to glory in Germany, he will become only the second person to win a European Championship as both a player and a manager, after German Berti Vogts, and the first to have achieved the double double.

When he retired from playing in 2001, transitioning into management felt like the natural next step for someone renowned for his leadership throughout his career. He managed Monaco, Juventus, and Marseille before taking on the role of France manager in 2012. His time in France has been hugely successful.

This video from 2019 explores the man in more detail. The footage is from the FRANCE 24 English YouTube account.
