Scotland: Celtic remain in charge of title race

Dundee 1 - 2 Celtic

A double from James Forrest helped Celtic beat Dundee and maintained their three-point Scottish Premiership lead.

Forrest marked his return to the Celtic starting line-up with a stunning first-half volley from the edge of the box and low drive midway through the second period.

Dundee got back into the game after Adam Idah deflected an Antonio Portales shot past Celtic goalkeeper Joe Hart. Despite some late pressure, they were unable to deny the visitors victory.

Despite another win for Rangers, the title is still Celtic's to lose with four rounds of fixtures to play and the Old Firm still to meet.

Dundee remain two points behind fifth-placed St Mirren and remain in contention for a Europa Conference qualifying place. Should they achieve that, it would surely be the best season in their recent history.

You can find out what the Celtic manager thought by watching the video below. The interview is from the official Celtic YouTube account.

James Forrest - Celtic legend

Forrest was in the starting eleven for the first time since they played against Lazio in the Champions League back in November. The two goals against Dundee made it six goals in the campaign for Forrest. This takes his overall Celtic tally for to 107 goals in 491 appearances.

These Celtic fans loved the contribution of Forrest. The footage is from Celtic Fans TV.

How much of an impact will he have between now and the rest of the season?

Even Ryan, a huge Dundee fan, was impressed with his performance. Ryan said: "He's been the most consistent player in the league over the last few years. He probably deserves another league title.

"As for my own team, I thought we played well. We caused Celtic a few problems. Just a pity we couldn't get a draw."

Moving closer to the title

Sean, a Celtic fan, said: "Another win and a few steps closer to the title. We played well enough to get over the line. It's certainly not as exciting as last season but I think that we'll get the job done."

Rebecca, another Celtic fan, added: "It's always great to win away from home. This has been a difficult season at times but we're getting closer to another title."
