Italy: Napoli lost at home to Lazio

The Italian champions, Napoli, faced their first loss of the season when they were defeated 2-1 at their home ground by Lazio. It was a surprising turn of events as Lazio's Luis Alberto scored the opening goal with a clever backheel after 30 minutes, despite Napoli dominating the game.

Napoli, now under the management of Rudi Garcia, who took over from Luciano Spalletti in June, quickly levelled the score thanks to Piotr Zielinksi's shot, which deflected into the net.

However, Lazio's summer signing, Daichi Kamada, secured the victory for his team with a goal in the 52nd minute, marking his first Serie A goal and sealing the win for Lazio.

Germany: Bayern win away

In a thrilling 87th-minute moment, Mathys Tel, a substitute for Bayern Munich, headed in a crucial goal, securing a 2-1 victory against Borussia Mönchengladbach. This win put an end to Bayern's frustrating streak of five matches without a victory against their rivals and marked their third consecutive win in the Bundesliga.

Before this triumph, Bayern had struggled to beat Gladbach in their last five encounters across all competitions. However, they bounced back from being a goal down to clinch the victory.

Scotland: Celtic win Glasgow Derby

Brendan Rodgers responded to questions about his second spell at Celtic with a statement win in what was a controversial Glasgow Derby.

England: Preston are top of the Championship

Will Keane's brilliant performance gave Preston a fantastic 2-0 victory over Stoke, and this win catapulted them to the top of the Championship table. Keane, who joined Preston during the summer from Wigan, showed his scoring prowess by netting his third and fourth goals of the season within just six minutes early in the second half.
