Transfer Rumours: Could Tammy Abraham be returning to England?

Could Tammy Abraham be moving back to the Premier League?

Serie A TIM 2021/22, Matchday 30 - AS Roma 3:0 Lazio - Stadio Olimpico, Rome - March 20, 2022

Let's see what the latest rumours are saying.

The eyes of two giants of European football are reportedly on Tammy Abraham. Last night to watch the match between Rome and Milan at the Olimpico, there were also some representatives of Manchester United and Paris Saint-Germain.

Both clubs are looking for a striker to reinforce their offensive department and, for different reasons, the former Chelsea could be the right person.

At Old Trafford, they are looking for a long-term option to try and help them compete for the Premier League and Champions League next season. For PSG, their failure in the Champions League could see them look to start something of a rebuild. There are rumours that PSG  might see both Lionel Messi and Neymar depart.

Could a shock move to Spurs be on the cards?

It was rumoured back in October 2022 that Spurs were interested in Abraham. One of their issues over the years has been their inability to bring in a top-quality backup for Kane. Could they be looking again in the summer? Abraham might move from a backup to a replacement. Rumours persist that Kane might be leaving the cub at the end of the season.

How good is Abraham?

He has shown promise throughout his career and a move to Italy has done him the world of good. Before his move, he scored 30 goals in 82 appearances for Chelsea. Since moving to the Italian capital, he has managed 36 goals in 98 appearances, winning the Conference League in 2022.

The video below contains some of Chelsea goals from the 2019/2020 season.

The new Old Trafford hero?

Abraham is a name that could get United fans excited and might work well with Marcus Rashford. Liam, a Manchester United fan, told us: "He'd be a great signing for us. He has proven he can perform in the Premier League and wouldn't be hugely expensive like Harry Kane."

Josh, another United fan, added: "Given he's only 25, Abraham would make a fantastic signing for the club. Go and sign him United, and we'll be a lot coser to City and Arsenal next season."
