Non League: Chesterfield promoted back to the EFL

Chesterfield 3 - 0 Boreham Wood Chesterfield secured the National League title and promotion to the English Football League with a comfortable win over Boreham Wood. Check out the scenes as Chesterfield were crowned champions. Footage from  Tom Pike - YouTube Jamie Grimes scored twice and Liam Mandeville scored immediately after halftime as the Spireites remain 21 points clear of nearest challengers Barnet, who defeated Dorking 6-0.  Chesterfield goalkeeper Harry Tyrer made an excellent early save from Tom Whelan's free-kick. However, the hosts took the lead in the 28th minute when captain Grimes headed home Mandeville's corner from near the penalty spot. Less than a minute into the second half, Mandeville scored to make it 2-0 after receiving a cross from Armando Dobra. Pre Season: Forest ease to win over Chesterfield

Chesterfield 0 - 3 Nottingham Forest  Nottingham Forest kicked off their pre-season with a 3-0 win against Chesterfield, courtesy of goals from Chris Wood, Josh Bowler, and Ibrahim Sangare. The visitors could have taken a 3-0 lead within the first 15 minutes, having created a trio of excellent chances. Emmanuel Dennis and Anthony Elanga both forced saves from Chesterfield's goalkeeper, Ryan Boot, while Nicolas Dominguez hit the post with a shot from the edge of the area. Forest believed they had taken the lead just before the half-hour mark, but Dennis was adjudged to have fouled Boot when heading in a free-kick, and the goal was disallowed. Despite creating several more chances, including efforts from Ryan Yates and Elanga, they couldn't find a way past Boot before half-time. After an enthralling weekend, we can say for certain that there is still some magic left in the FA Cup. Let's have a look at a weekend that saw some massive shocks. Cambridge United knock out Newcastle Joe Ironside scored the winner against his boyhood side. He turned in from close range 11 minutes into the second half to prompt wild scenes amongst the 5,000 travelling fans. 2022 FA Cup final has been confirmed. Liverpool will face Chelsea at Wembley on the 14th of May. Let's have a look at how both teams got there. Chelsea looking to end a difficult and eventful season on a high They beat Chesterfield 5-1 at home in the third round before a narrow 2-1 win over Plymouth in the fourth round.
