Pre Season: Brentford draw with Benfica

Benfica 1 - 1 Brentford Bryan Mbeumo was on target as Brentford drew with Benfica.  Mbeumo capitalised on a sloppy back-pass to give Thomas Frank's side an early lead in Lisbon, but the Eagles levelled on 24 minutes when Vangelis Pavlidis poked home Álvaro Carreras’s cross at the front post.  Brentford 3 - 2 Fulham Brentford's impressive Premier League season continued as they overcame west London derby rivals Fulham. This kept their hopes of European football very much alive. Tony impresses again Bees' striker Ivan Toney was the talisman. He made it 22 successes out of 22 from the penalty spot for Brentford as they closed to within three points of sixth-placed Newcastle United. He was outstanding here as his side secured a deserved three points. Brentford 2 - 0 Brighton & Hove Albion Ivan Toney celebrated his 100th game for Brentford with a brace to secure three points for his side. He netted either side of the breabyk, his first an impudent flick and his second a trademark penalty, to secure a third home win in five for Thomas Frank’s side. It was a milestone night for the head coach, too. The Dane became only the fifth man in Club history to take charge of 200 games, reaching that mark with more wins than any of those to get there before him. The Blues started the day 18th but capitalised on teams around them failing to win by moving out of the Premier League relegation zone, leaping two points and three places above trouble.
