The away side looked set to earn a vital three points in their relegation battle, holding the lead as the clock ticked past 80 minutes thanks to Renan Lodi’s close-range goal late in the first half.

However, Ivan Toney’s free-kick snuck past Keylor Navas for his 20th goal of the Premier League season before Dasilva sparked amazing scenes and celebrations at the Gtech Community Stadium.

The goal was all of Dasilva’s doing, the attacker driving inside Morgan Gibbs-White, then flashing a shot beyond Navas at his near post to register back-to-back league wins for Thomas Frank’s Bees.

Let's explore the best reaction from Brentford.

Daniel, a Brentford Season Ticket Holder, told us: "If we had dropped points against relegation-threatened Nottingham Forest then our European hopes may have been over. However, the way we picked up the three points suggests that our season might not be over yet."

Peter, another Brentford fan, added: "The fact that we are still in contention with four games left is a testament to the work of Frank, his players and their support staff. I'm starting to imagine my wonderful club in Europe."

Brentford boss Thomas Frank told the media: "It's not the best performance of the season, definitely not. The last two performances have not been in our top 5 or top 10 this season, but they gave us two wins. Now we get two wins, and the feeling is so much better. Nottingham Forest did a good job to make it difficult for us. They scored with their one chance and made it even more difficult because they are fighting relegation. These margins were not going our way with the first goal then we got it with Ivan Toney."

As you can imagine, the reaction of those associated with Forest was less positive.

Kieran, a huge Forest fan, told us: "I actually thought we were in a comfortable position. The two goals we gave away were really disappointing, and it cost us the game. I have no problem with the effort of the players, but you've got to do everything right until the end of the game. I fear for us now, and I think many other fans feel the same."

This was the reaction of Forest boss Steve Copper after the match. Can he keep Forest in the Premier League?
