Victory against Fulham at the weekend, combined with Chelsea’s defeat by Manchester City, has sharpened Liverpool’s hopes of returning to Europe’s top table next season. Yet their more immediate task is far more exacting: containing one of the continent’s most formidable attacks while finding the net at least twice themselves.

Another famous Anfield night?
After a difficult campaign, Liverpool fans will see this game as their most important of the current season.
In his press conference, the Liverpool boss Arne Slot said: "Personally, I believe completely because I know what we are able to do, I know what kind of players we have, I know what kind of mentality we have and we showed it many times. Maybe not every time, but many times and that's what we need tomorrow from the start of the game."
