The Blades took the lead midway through the first half when Burrows pounced on a loose clearance, chesting the ball down before unleashing a powerful shot that ricocheted off both posts and into the net. The 23-year-old later doubled the advantage with a clinical penalty, dispatched into the bottom corner after Sam McCallum was brought down by a clumsy challenge from Ben Chrisene.
This win marked Sheffield United’s 10th home victory of the season, sending Chris Wilder’s side two points clear of Burnley, who drew with Sunderland, and Leeds United, who host Sheffield Wednesday on Sunday.

A closer look at what happened in Sheffield
Despite fielding a depleted squad with just 15 fit first-team players, Norwich dominated possession but struggled to create chances in the absence of suspended top scorer Borja Sainz. The Canaries failed to register a shot on target and remain 11th, five points adrift of the play-offs.
The Blades, meanwhile, showcased an effective high press that disrupted Norwich’s rhythm. Burrows’ opener came after McCallum narrowly missed a close-range effort, while Gustavo Hamer almost added a spectacular second with a long-range attempt, only to be denied by Angus Gunn’s quick reactions.
Though Norwich showed some promise after the break, Burrows’ second goal effectively ended their hopes. The Blades could have added a third, but Gunn produced a fine save to deny Callum O’Hare.

Overall, this was a fantastic performance by the players. It has the potential to be a fantastic end to the season."
Jamie Thompson, another fan, added: "Bramall Lane is becoming a fortress again. The atmosphere and performances at home are outstanding. “Chris Wilder’s tactics have also been spot on. This season, he’s brought stability and belief back to the squad.”
